Actually, trains are a major part of transportation too, especially in cities. Ever heard of the North East Corridor? Literally THOUSANDS ride it every day commuting to jobs in the big northeast cities. And it is bigger than ever in Japan and some European countries. Oh, and what do you think subways and els are? Subway Trains and Elevated Trains!

Really, kids can be a nuisance sometimes

Specially because they make me feel really old.

I mean, what are kids doing at the disco at these hours? Ugh, and they're occupying all the tables and the dance track.. Who let them go out? And where do they get all the energy? I'm already wishing for my bed..

Don't look at me, I've been to two parties in my life (and they were "geek" parties)...I crash before 11:00 pm typically. I don't have a lick of energy in me.

To go back on topic....

Oh well, Shep...it's called a corporate takeover and guess what, it happens. The friggin logo's just a silouette anyway. I never even heard of Chessie before and I won't miss it. Get over it.

Well, the Armoured trains date from the 1870's, in Egypt, progressing onwards, used recently, as the mobile USSR nuke launchers.

Russia has made use of a quite a few armored trains in Chechnya over the last few years. Most are just sandbag protected tanks and BMP's on flatcars, but one sported steel sided cars with reactive armor hauling around both T-80's and SO-122's along with a reactive armor ptected engine! This combind with some steel plates reportly made it near impossibul to knock out with RPG's.

The Chechens evdently had taken to simply killing the engines of other trains and then running away, rather then fighting it out under the trains guns.

It was called Gustav by its makers at Krupp in honour of Carl Gustav Krupp, the legendary munitions manufacturer. It was named Big Bertha by its German crews, which is why some thought there was actually two of them.
