First color photo I've seen of it. Well fuck taking it over, there's no way I'd set foot on something built of low grade steel that that's got sixty years of accumulated rust on it. I doubt it would still be standing if so much top weight hadn't been removed.

That's why we're going to build it up, not just keep it as the original HMF configuration.

I want to make it at least as big as the Troll rig and as well armed as a CVBG.

you could find some surplus warships on the market and just sort of hok them up to the fortress somehow and make them extensions of the country, then you could fire some big boomers.

Too bad there arent any Iowa Battleships availiable anymore.

Those forts where built on major sandbanks, a battleship would probably run aground approaching. So would most decent sized warships. Just get a bunch of rocks, maybe some old freighters to scuttle as breakwaters, and dredges and use them to build up an island.

Personally though, I say fuck the country, someone converted one of the much older sea forts in the Solent into a luxury house. I want that, only I'd rearm it and demand tribute from passing ships least I open fire with my 12.5 inch 38 ton rifled muzzle loading guns.
