The only way I'm ever playing the lottery is if I have a time machine in hand.

Otherwise, no.

I find it more enjoyable, if not more productive, to 1) laugh at people who spend a fortune on tickets and get squat and 2) wish bad things on the lucky bastards who win... only to realize that the government is already 1 step ahead of me in that regard. :P

$30 million is nothing to sneeze at.
Note: Need to buy the tickets yet, and it's 6 or so hours until you can't.

I look at this way.

I go out when the lottery gets big ($10 million +) and I buy $10 in 'tickets' for it
If I win, I made a 1,000,000:1 profit.
And if not, it was $10. That just means I can only rent 2 videos that weekend instead of 3

When I've got two bucks I don't need, sure, I plop it down. Why not?
