About the mom. My suggestion is this, tell her you love her and tell her you're sorry that you've hurt her like that but that is who you are and there is nothing you can really do to change that. I suggest that you do not bring God into it, this usually only cause more problems. If she starts talking about God try to subtly get off the subject. If she is a good mother (She probably is, most are), she should accept that. If she decides to be unreasonable, don't yell, you'll want to...DON'T.

I believe ya Kuja. I think many of us have all gone and tied one on after a rough time--doesn't mean we're alcoholics. It's never a good idea, but there's no reason to beat ourselves up about it after the fact.

You be as patient as you can with your mother, as I'm sure you will. I imagine her initial shock will pass with a little time. And you have my best hopes that it will, sooner than later.

Unfortunately, an argument about my refusal to continue going to church was what triggered this situation.
