At least the Bengals have been to the Super Bowl a few times.
It's always funny when all of these players that appeared to underachieve with Arizona end up being stars or at least doing well somewhere else. It's not that Arizona doesn't draft well, they do okay, but the ownership blows so hard that they can never get things together.
Bidwell should be forced to sell his team. Considering the "attendance" at Sundays game, something like 24,000 I don't see how the NFL can put up with his team sucking so bad. If they still suck but there's a new stadium and no one goes I hope something happens.
Bidwell has screwed the pooch on the state of Arizona from almost day one. He started by pissing off most of the state by insisting on the team being the Phoenix Cardinals after everyone thought they'd be the Arizona Cardinals. A few years into the deal he realizes his mistake and they rename the team the Arizona Cardinals.
Of course, almost all of the Cardinal's games are subject to tv blackout throughout the state, which also blocks any other game that is being carried on the same network at that time. Wouldn't want to try to build the fan base first and then start kicking in the blackouts. I wasn't a fan of the Cardinals when they were in St. Louis I'm not going to instantly become a die hard fan just because they moved to Arizona. They needed to put in some work on getting people interested. Personally, I think they should have changed the team name to something more Arizona related. When the Winnepeg Jets moved here they didn't keep the Jets name. I realize most teams that move keep their old names but in a lot of cases I think that is a bad move.
