And that's why he's an idiot.

I take issue with that attitude myself. The whole ecosystem of Earth is more delicate than they appreciate. Me shouldn't avoid ever harming an animal but we need to take care about it. There is nothing wrong with hunting and fishing and such but they ought to be practiced responsibly. Not simply some retard plinking away with a high powered rifle.

Oh, I have no problem with hunting them to control their population. But when idiots like Azeron slobber in and deem these creatures expendable and blame them for their situation, that's where I take issue.
I wasn't defending him. He's a moron.

I don't blame deer for anything. But the population does need to be thinned as it's become far far to large to be supported and they've become a menace and a major nuisance. They range nearly every where and are pretty destructive.
The city of Phildephia has a huge deer problume. It has the largest park areas within its limits of any city in the US, and as a result deer are just awful. In one section of part, heavily wooded, 458 deer where killed by a team of hired hunters, and they still found that at least 100 where left. The area was only thought to be sufficent to support 35 deer without forcing them to find food outside of the park in peoples yards. In one week they ate over 7000 new plantings ment to stop Erosion within the park.

Exactly! Thank you for helping me clarify my stance.

I challenge you to prove that the ecosystem is indeed fragile.

Thats an unsupported claim.

And how would lettign dear continue to exist harm the ecosystem?

A really good example would be DDT. Unknowingly we sprayed a lethal toxin all over. Later we find out it's killing the eggs of eagles and other birds of prey.

Overfishing has devasted the popluations of most fish in the Newfoundland and Grand Banks area.

Slash and burn agriculture in the Amazon leave only a blasted moonscape every where it goes.

The dams along the Columbia River have nearly wiped out the fish populations along the river.

In the 1800's irresponsible hunting nearly destroyed the buffalo, prarie dog, and countless other species.

Man has slaughtered whole ecosystems and murdered species wholesale. Don't tell me nature will heal, it can't heal extinction. Don't tell me it's some sort of natural selection, it's not.

Letting DEER live is no harm. I do advocate hunting them, even increasing the number of hunters and permits issued. They've become too numerous and are in and causing a lot of trouble. What I don't advocate is reckless hunting. Simply killing them because we can.

no wait I misspoke. I Want to get rid of deer, or at least in the suburbs. I am not for reckless hunting, rather systematic extermination. there is no reason not to. They cause too much harm. Humans and deers don;t mix.

I agree with that to a degree. I agree the herds near the suburbs need badly to be thinned but not exterminated. Extermination is way too drastic and we are encroaching more and more on their habitat. But they do need to thin them out.

Hey, nice strawman, you stupid fucker.

We're the ones who knocked down the forests and paved the way for industry, and now you're complaining because the poor dumb animals are trying to survive?

Yeah, we should create deer reeducation camps to teach them about road safety...but wait, I forgot, they're not human. Too inconvenient for us. Costs good money, which would be better spent building more bombs, right? After all, we've got a war to run!

Dogs know not to cross a road, pretty much anything figures out that it isn't
fucking SAFE to cross a road.....except for the goddamn Deer. I propose we
sell year-round deer hunting licenses nationwide. $25 bags you one deer.

We'd be able to pay off the national deficit quick.

And yet I still see a lot of dead dogs and cats on the side of the road. And yet dogs still chase cars and get hit by them.

That has nothing to do with my argument.

I'm not saying that I don't like caribou, I'm just saying that maybe we don't need quite so many of them breathing our oxygen.

The deer over here are really inbred, overbred, and kinda crazy from all of spoilage by the exposere to humans coupled with the elimination of Wolves and Grizzlys and the reduction of Coyotes, Mountin Lions, and black bears. We have one alpha buck who has been hogging all of the does for the last 6-8 years and it contributes as well to the problems. On the other hand there is Yosemite Hunting, get a 4x4 with a winch, or sutably reinforced front end and go driving with your highbeams on at night, at about 20mph over the speed limit.
