Scary? Na, to even begin to be scary he would have to at least advocate harvesting from India and China to feed Africa, with the fittest of each batch being shipped to the Amazon to be hunted for sport.

I'm more scared by the poor logic.

I thought the 'if technology can make so many improvements, why don't we just improve the worst/least effective option?' argument was only used by Battletech fans... :?

You maybe right on that but it seems to me that given the growth rate of the human poplation we would not be able to produce enough food by breeding and cloning animals.

Urg... All this talk of cannibalism makes me think of that highly revolting programme where they showed how the Maya indians (at least I think it was them) used huge jars to cook their prisoners and others. They broke their bones up in pieces that were just small enough to fit in the jar and then the ate it. When there was nothing left on the bone they went for the best parts: the marrow inside the bones, and the brain. The head was apparently cooked a little longer to make the brain taste even better... Uurrgghh. They used sheep instead of real humans in the programme but it was still disgusting. How one can even think about eating another human being and not having any moral problems with that is completely beyond my understanding.

Some people clearly are watching Silence of the Lambs waaay too much...

My problem is that Lt. Hit-Man's whole argument basically boils down to "we should eat people because it would be cool". Huh? If there were several good reasons to do so, I'd be more than willing to discuss canaballism. As it stands, there doesn't seem to be any reason to continue this unless someone can come up with a single reason why eating human would be better than eating the millions of other edible species on the planet.

Geez, has you ever gone to a sushi bar Hit-Man? They have delights from all sorts of exotic sealife that will make you forget about this newfound obsession with human flesh

Hey LT

It would be easier to clone cows or pigs. Less time, more meat

Well this topic doesn't disturb me (then again not even RayCav can disturb me) your logic on the subject leaves me wondering about you. Have you been watching Soylent Green one too many times? Cure the population boom by culling mankind! Are you a thigh or breast man?

Really LT, think about it. Animal meat is easier, healthier and tastier than human meat. Also like what Mike has said, it would cause havoc with any murder investigations.

Think very carefully before you literally eat your girlfriend. Eating human meat while animal meat is better in every way is a good reason for an extended vacation at the funny farm.

well, you can't fairly say something is tastier unless you've tasted it for yourself. . . . . .not that i've ever tasted human meat of course. so i wouldn't be able to say whether it was or not.

I know. I had it memorised when I saw the show but by the time I got to writing it down, I knew something was wrong. What's the correct PLP?

The efficient way would be to skip the cloning part and get right to eating people. Not me, thanks. I'll find another way to survive.
