Late Night Talk Shows

Post by Nathan F »

What's the best late night talk show duo? I'm a fan of Conan O'Brien and Max Weinberg, myself, although Jay Leno and Kevin Smith are pretty funny at times.

EDIT: ERGH! Can someone edit the poll to add Conan and a 'other' option?

I almost never laugh when I watch Leno or letterman. With Conan, I don't think an episode has gone by that I HAVENT laughed.

Indeed, Conan is the Master, with Craig Kilborn in second place.
Jimmy Kimmel is funny too, but I am not sure he will be around long...

Conan's favorite song is "La La La," and that alone is enough for him to be better than anybody else.
Incidentally, the Max Weinberg Seven will kick the shit out of any other talk show band, musically or otherwise.

And, between Leno and Letterman, they're both all right, but I guess in general I like Letterman better. He has a slightly funnier monologue, and he's zanier than Leno.
Leno has some good sketches, and Jaywalking is usually pretty funny.
But they both suck compared to Conan, especially at the guest interviews. Conan makes you actually want to watch the guests.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

I agree, I always changed the channel when I used to watch Leno at the interviews. Sometimes the interviews on Conan are funnier than the skits and monolouge cause Conan is a funny guy. Like the interview with all of Charlies Angel's cast, that was halarious.

Yeah, that kicked hella ass. It also kicks ass when they throw stuff off the roof like a pinball machine or a bucket of superballs, or when they set up the entire "My Beautiful Dollhouse" line of toys and then had firemen blast it with a hose.
Hence why Letterman's better than Leno.

May you rot in hell :)

Daily show is the best of the late night interview-shows, plus it has the greatest supporting cast of any show out there.

No, not the only one. :) I'm a Letterman fan, myself. Mainly because my mother likes to watch him (she's wanted to go to New York for as long as I remember - which means going on his show), which gives me the chance to bond with her seeings as she works most of the day. Plus, he's just funnier.
