It's available for quite a long time.

If we're talking about the ALIEN LEGACY DVD Box Set. I bought it couple of months ago.

1. It's quadrilogy.

2. You don't have to buy anything.

3. Haha, you spent cash on a previous box set. :D

Futureshop $85.99 CDN = $66.13 USD

I don't think I'll buy it. I have the first two on VHS, I'll upgrade those to DVD at some point, but I have no desire to purchase the other movies.

Rye: Don't pay 50 quid for it, you can get it at Amazon for 45 and I'm sure I've seen it at a local store for less. Shop around, even CD-WOW and Black Star are putting it overpriced.

edition?
If you already have it and bought other variations of it, your problem. I waited until they had a set like this, just like I'll wait for the Star Wars DVD set and how I waited for an Indy DVD set etc.

The ones getting ripped off here are those that already bought a set prior to this one and want the new version now.
But not those who got it for free. Mu hahahahahahha.

Thanks for correcting me, otherwise you can keep your malicious comments to yourself.

It's not the end of the world for me.
I didn't even know that they will release Quadrilogy.

I can buy the new set and shall give the old one to my sister. Not a big deal...

Yes, it is most definitly worth buying even if you have the Alien Legacy box that was released in 1999. With brand new cuts of each of the films and almost 50 goddamn fucking hours worth of bonus material, it is most definitly a must-buy. I've been watching it nonstop for the past 4 days and I'm barely even half done.

However, having said that, dont throw away the Legacy box set, as none of those extras are repeated here--the Ridley Scott solo commentary does not reappear, as a brand new one with him and other cast and crew was recorded for the new set, and the alternate soundtracks for Alien dont appear as well. If you were able to get the fifth Alien Legacy disk i believe that that documentary is also replaced with a similar one on the Quadrilogy's ninth disk.

But the Quadrilogy is really the best set ever released for any film. Only the eventual LOTR trilogy Extended Edition Box Set will rival it. Theres enough great extras on this set to even make the inclusion of the lackluster Alien Resurrection worthwhile.

I LIKED resurrection. Alien 3 was easily the worst.
