Do well in the middle or the end?

To clarify, let's say there's a final and the little quizzes or practice tests in the middle.

Do you do well in the practice tests/quizzes and do badly in the final, or do you do poorly in the first and do well in the latter?

And this does not just apply to tests. It could apply to something like a performance as well.

Which are you better in?

Me: I've found myself a better "finals" person than a middle "practice tests/quizzes" person.

I pwn any quiz, test, exam, or whatever regardless of any circumstances as long as the following conditions are met:

1) I paid attention in class or in any way actually tried to learn the material.

2) I care.

e.g., I had to take some lame essay exam for law class Friday. Problem was, I'd been absent the past week and I also didn't real care how I did on it, so I'll probably end up with a C or D on that one...

I tend to do well on everything prior to finals.

Of course, this semester I just suck at everything.

I get rapidly better, then stay high through the end. My first test usually isn't so hot cause I don't know how the instructor thinks yet, but after that things go well.

I seem to do around the same in both, perhaps a bit better on the finals because I study for hours, but I barely study, if at all, for tests.

I'm pretty consistent all the way through, unless the subject is math in which case I usually fuck up the final exam and come within 5 marks of failing the damn thing.

Otherwise I get B's and C's, but that's from lack of effort since I'm a lazy asshole. I know I can get mostly A's if I tried, I did so in 2nd year to land an internship program position, but once that got done I went back to slacking off. Basically I don't do well unless I have a good reason to.

back when i was in high school i actually did better on the tests than the assignments. admittedly that might've had something to do with me being incredibly lazy and not bothering to do them, but meh.

I tend to do ok in practice, and utterly fuck up the actual thing.
