it smacks of definite incompetence. they must have realized that the foam + pyrotechnics = bad. :?

they guy that sold them the foam lived near the nightclub. he gave the owners a deal on cheap, highly combustable PACKAGING foam to be used as a sound insulator. Both parties knew the properties of the foam. I'm suprised the salesman hasn't been indicted as well.

Dont you have to have fire safety inspections before any form of organised event, I wouldnt call it involuntary if they didnt even bother to comply with fire safety regulations.
