My sympathies lie with the woman. No terrorist would joke about having a bomb in their luggage- this is just dumbfuck airport staff with brains the size of exceedingly small peas. A guy on a flight recently got in deep shit over spending too much time in the toilet, and he said "don't worry, i havent left a bomb in there"- he faces jail time.

It's a fucking farce. Whoever puts someone who's obviously jesting through that sort of crap should be fired on the spot.

No worries, Stravo. The incident not long ago with the French passenger and just this last week the bother with that stupid English student show that the world is going mad. This woman was either too stupid to follow the news or loves irony.

People who talk shit about bombs in places like airports don't deserve jail sentances or the like, a deep cavity search minus the lube would sufice. It is an incredibly stupid thing to do.

I remember being in Gatwick and them almost blowing up my duffel bag 'cause I left it to help my grandma out of the lift... this was pre-9/11 of course, but people saying they've got a bomb generally don't.

Generally don't

...but next time someone with a real bomb might appear at an airport and say that he/she has a bomb. And then repeat that. if the security forces take that as a joke and lety him/her get in, what could happen?

And on one of the other forums Admiral V. provided links to it was a mentioning about how such incidents could be used as a diversion to by a real terorist.

I'm not familliar with the judiciar system, but I think she asked for it and deserves a punishment.
