The facts:
1. A Taiwanese seaman had a Brazilian girlfriend, they had a child named Iruan.
2. When Iruan was 2, his mother died. His Brazilian grandmother became the legal guardian. The Taiwanese father adopted Iruan later. (He wasn't married to his girlfriend.)
3. At 2001 the father brought Iruan (now 5 years old) to Taiwan for a visit, unfortunately the father suddenly passed away.
4. The Taiwanese uncle, Mr. Wu, claiming that his brother wanted him to take care of Iruan, kept the boy. Iruan becomes an ROC citizen.
5. Mrs. Ergui comes to Taiwan.
6. Result of Mrs. Ergui's visit is BAD. The Wu family treated her badly. Iruan was forbidden to meet grandma personally, all he could do was cry in grandma's hug, and get torn away.
7.Mr. Wu is losing his case. Mass appeal to authority, pity...etc tactics. The president and other related governmental officials have stated it clearly: They respect the judgement.
8. Desperate appeal to pity. Yeah, stay after Chinese New Year. How about staying after every Chinese holiday?
9. Deadline,Wall of ignorance,Poor boy, stupid adults.
10. The end?
==================
My rant: I am fucking ashamed of Mr. Wu and the people who support him. They claim that Mr. Wu's intentions are good. They use the UN The Convention on the Rights of the Child as a backup of their bullshit that Iruan "wanted to stay",yet neglecting the fact that he wanted to return to Brazil in 2001. The supporters are fucking morons barking "Taiwanese should support the Taiwanese". If Mr. Wu's intentions are good, he couldn't have let that fiasco of policemen grabbing the child happen, plus demonstrating his bad attitude to the law to Iruan. The supporters have shit idea that the whole fiasco gives foreigners an impression that Taiwanese shit laws. And the media are FUCKING STUPID. Their bias on taking down the DPP government is shamelessly exposed by reporting the news in the POV of the Wu family, making them seem like tragic heroes and the "heartless government" like morons.
I'm ashamed of this

Question on the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
In a case like this, could the child's rights to speak and decision of living really be considered in a lawsuit? This is like, I kidnap a child, give him a good life and he loves and wants to stay with me, could the Rights be upheld when I'm caught? This is fucking wrong in many ways. Yet the Wu's (Or probably those who setup the website supporting them) use this as an argument.
I always thought that before a person is legal, his or her rights are limited in some ways.
