Need help with Kiss lyrics.

Post by Gandalf »

Does anyone here have the lyrics to God Gave Rock and Roll To You by Kiss? Or at least know where I can get them?

I've tried every lyrics search engine I have, and I'm coming up nil.

Any help would be appreciated.
"Oh no, oh yeah, tell me how can it be so fair
That we dying younger hiding from the police man over there
Just for breathing in the air they wanna leave me in the chair
Electric shocking body rocking beat streeting me to death"

- A.B. Original, Report to the Mist

"I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."

Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either. :P

Thanks aerius.

I tried four or five sites, never thought of using Google.

o.O Strange. It worked for me - even pulled up the lyrics. You support frames, right?

Yeah. I was using Mozilla if that helps.

-shrugs- That's honestly the only thing I could think of as to why it wouldn't work. Then again, Mozilla might be the problem. I'm just too lazy to test it.

God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to everyone...

Pretty excellent song. I like the rendition at the end of Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.

Same, I've been trying to find that for countless eons.

It's also included on that last album they had before their return to makeup, Revenge. Which is a pretty good album if you ask me.

IIRC correctly the original song that they got the chorus from was a Christian Rock song which is why the KISS version is GGR&RtY II, at least on the Bill & Ted soundtrack.

God Gave Rock and Roll to You
Artist(Band):Petra

God Gave Rock and Roll to You Lyrics
Words and music by Russ Ballard

(Chorus)
God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Put it in the soul of everyone.
God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Put it in the soul of everyone.

You can learn to dance
Or you can be a square
You can let the music take you anywhere
But where will you be when the music's gone?

You can learn to sing
You can play guitar
You can learn to rock
You can be a star
But where will you be when the music's gone?

If you love the sound
Then don't forget the source
You can turn around,
You can change your course,
'Cause it's never too late to change your mind.

You can love the rock
And let Him free your soul
Or you can let the old man take his toll
It's never too late to change your mind.
Ballard is credited on the KISS version.
By the pricking of my thumb,
Something wicked this way comes.
Open, locks,
Whoever knocks.

Damned good. "Unholy" is one of my most favorite KISS songs!
I was there through the ages
Chained slaves to their cages
I have seen you eat your own
I'm the cycle of pain
Of a thousand year old reign
I'm suicide and salvation
The omen to nations
That you worship on all fours
I'm the infection and famine
That's knocking at your door
That's why you're feeling so

Unholy

I like a lot of songs on that album.

The one that sticks in my head the best is I Just Wanna.
