I'm thinking FSU is gonna pull it off this time. Miami barely got by 'em last year.

Hey, wouldn't you know it, Villanova is 5-0 and 3-0 in the Atlantic 10. This concludes this intrusion of mere 1-AA teams into this discussion.

Gateway Conference OWNS the A-10

With Two huge Big 10 games this week (OSU @ WISC and MICH @ MINN)

who do you guys pick to win the Big 10 title?

Mine too. Well, early to mid 70's.

He went back for more in the mid 80's. :D

Still sore about the '99-'00 Gator Bowl?

Anyway, that "overrated" institution has racked up five national championships from '83 to '01 and they've done it under four different coaches. Not bad for a small private school that almost dropped football in the seventies...

How is Miami going to respond without Frank Gore? He was supposed to be the ein the hole for the Canes Offense this year

Jason Geathers, who played backup for Willis McGahee last year, is moving back to RB from WR. He and Payton will probably share the carries for a while until Coker decides who'll start. I'm cautiously optimistic.

In the meantime, Berlin is more comfortable in a spread offense out of the shotgun so I'm hoping we'll see more of that to compensate for the drop off in our running game. Miami's WRs burned FSU's corners last year and I haven't seen any reason why they won't this year too.

Of course, this is college football. Anything can happen. :)

Well AFAIK this game is a toss up, and with no emotional stake in the game or the conference i have to pick which team i hate more to lose.

Go Canes! Beat Bowden!

HOLY SHIT

Michigan scores 31 points in the 4th Quarter to upset Minnesota.

biggest comeback in school History, michigan's 15th straight year holding the little brown jug.

That's just pathetic. If Minnesota is actually good it's pathetic that they let some team score 31 points on them in the 4th quarter.

If Minnesota actually sucks, then it's pathetic that Michigan had to score 31 points in the 4th quarter to pull this game out.

Still, it help make the Big 10 race a bit more interesting. A few more losses and it could be as big a toss up as the Pac-10.

Iowa, michigan, Ohio State, WIsconsin, Michigan State, Purdue, Minnesota

all teams with legitimate chances at the Big Ten Title, though Purdue is a long shot and Michigan and Iowa have both lost to teams on this short list.

i think its Ohio State's to lose at this point, but they might.

Lots of big Upsets including Michigan last night. Auburn's resurgence was surprising to me, very damn surprising The SEC is a definite toss up if the Gatorshold on, though LSU is shooting themselves in the damn foot with stupid penalties.

Texas' being overrated wont last for long after their sodomizing by Oklahoma, same with Kansas St.

As of right now Pittsburg is losing to ND, which would be yet another upset.

Dang this is silly! But this is why I love college football. at least a handful important games with implications every week and at least a dozen competitive ones.

I fucking hate Miama.

Oregon continues their slide into obscurity after a shocking 59-14 loss to Arizona State, who is finally starting to live up to their preseason hopes and is playing pretty well.

Oregon QB Kellen Clemmen's first two passes were intercepted and returned for touchdowns, leaving ASU ahead 14-0 only a minute and a half into the first quarter. It only got worse from there, and ASU's last five possessions resulted in touchdowns (one of them led by the backup quarterback, who is a freshman IIRC).

Well, Durran's going to be happy. We (Tennessee) just got our asses handed to us in a 41-14 game against Georgia. Our defense was mediocre at best. Our offensive line was so-so. Our recievers didn't do to bad. Our quarterback sucked balls, though. Clausen needs to go back to playing Junior Pro, he'd be more in his league there.

Well Georgia is making a case for an at large Bol bid, but I still think LSU is better depsite the upset.

Villanova wins again on a 1 yard touchdown run by QB Joe Casameto with 20 seconds left. Why is it that they stopped sucking AFTER I graduated?

Wow. That just sucked. All you hear from the announcers all game is how many mistakes OSU was making.

Of course OSU eventually had to lose! They won the majority of those 19 games in single digits and at least 3 maybe 4 or 5 of those went to Overtime. the fact that they made it this far was wel...yecchhh.

Next Week Key Big Ten Matchups

Iowa @ Ohio State. last years CO Champions each have one conference loss, though Ohio State is just coming off of their first loss in 19 games and seem to be reeling while Iowa has rebounded with a huge win vs Michigan.

Michigan State @ Minnesota. Minnesota gets home field advantage but Michigan State is unbeaten in conference and is 6-1 on the year, looking very strong.

Purdue @ Wisconsin, A battle of two teams unbeaten in conference play. Something has to give

Michigan vs. Illinois, Only big because Michigan is still contending for the Big Ten TItle, of the 7 teams with legitimate chances they are the only one playing a team of a low caliber like Illinois. This gives them a good chance to watch other teams fall and put them right back in the hunt.

To be fair, the first half was a close match. The Vols having the ball on the 1-yard line with 7 seconds left was enough to make me hold my breath... until Georgia converted that danger moment into a nice touchdown. Second half, Tennesse just fell apart. Go Dawgs!

Hell yeah. With Georgia, if you want to get a touchdown in the red zone, you're going to have to fight for that shit.

Or you could just be a asshat like Clausen and score more points for the opposing team than for UT.

Seriously, he scored three touchdowns for UGA, yet we had 2...
