There's a reason for that: the people who wrote the software discovered that some people were making polls and then editing them to change the "winner" after getting votes (think about it: you could theoretically make a "yes/no" poll and then exchange "no" and "yes" if the votes aren't coming in the way you want them to). As soon as a vote is registered, the poll gets locked from editing.XaLEv wrote:It's nice to have faster editing of posts, but editing of polls has gone all to shit. Check out my threads in Testing.
I suppose it's possible to hack into the code and disable this check, but we all know how disruptive that can be

Strange, I found you could only edit a poll option if no one had yet voted for it with the old version. You could always add more options, until you reached the limit. In fact I'm pretty sure it said that in the instructions.Darth Wong wrote:There's a reason for that: the people who wrote the software discovered that some people were making polls and then editing them to change the "winner" after getting votes (think about it: you could theoretically make a "yes/no" poll and then exchange "no" and "yes" if the votes aren't coming in the way you want them to).
