Not UCF. They're decent, but really the only program I can speak for as being good is their engineering. All the others are average at best right now.
They have this "digital arts" major which is starting, and a lot of people from my school go there. But as I said, that major is not accredited.

UCF's engineering isn't too hot - UF better. Their CS department is superior to UF's, however.

Yeah, UF's still better at engineering, but Dr. Nayfeh's been getting better profs in his department. They're competitive, if not quite at the same level yet. I don't think we (FSC) even have a digital arts program. We have a couple graphic design courses (taught by my Aikido sensei), but that's about it AFAIK.

I should also add I'm looking for a good computer graphics college and would like suggestions.
University of New Mexico: Bachelor of Science, Computer Engineering. (Though our emphasis tended more towards electronics and hardware.) (2002)

I attend Stetson University, and I'm a philosophy major (one more semester) planning to eventually work my way to a doctorate.

As for good computer graphics schools, the Ringling (like the circus) College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL is indeed excellent, if selective. I have a friend graduating from that program this semester. He hates computer graphics (making it a bad choice for a major, but that's neither here nor there), but he tells me that the program is good.

I'm in hellishly boring DeLand. They call it the "Athens of the South," which leads me to believe that Athens sucks.

Some would call Houston the "New York City of the South," but that doesn't mean that New York City sucks. :)

Trust me. Lakeland's no better. I had to choose between Deland and Lakeland, and I cam down here (better scholarships). Although we are getting Dr. John Lachs down here from Villanova to speak to our Philosophy Club...

Queensland University of Technology - BS56 Bachelor of Business (International Business, Language Specialisation in Japanese)

I wanted the language above anything else, so it was a choice between this or arts. I was always good at high school maths, economics, etc, so I figured this was the best option. At least it's something to fall back on, even if it is dull as all hell.

BA in History with a minor in the Humanities from the University of Arizona.

I'd like to reiterate what Stravo said about there being no jobs for history majors because there aren't many. Insurance companies like people with liberal arts degrees but it's almost impossible to find anything in history other than teaching.

Well, with the majors I'm doing I'm aiming to get a graduate position with DFAT or another government branch.

If nothing else, its a guaranteed position for 4 years with good pay.

Villanova University, Political Science and History.

Was suposed to graduate in May, but I forgot a goddamn "diversity" requirement.

By the way, Dalton, the art institute in Philadelphia you're thinking of is....get this...the Art Institute of Philadelphia. :D I don't know much about their reputation, except that most of the artsy types I went to high school with wanted to go there.

True...it was really funny last year, right after 9/11. I'm an aircraft freak, so I knew what it was, but a few dozen people started getting panicky. I told them what was going on, went back to my room, and laughed my ass off.

 I ended up with a whole lot more of those than I needed. I don't know how many classes I took where there were less than five guys in the whole class. I even had some others that were diverse in "race". :D
