If he was wearing ear protection, then he probably didn't hear the prop. Add that to the fact that he probably wasn't paying attention to what he was doing.

I've hear that this sort of thing happens about ten times a year across the U.S.
The most basic assumption about the world is that it does not contradict itself.

That has to be a fairly disturbing experience the witness'. The guy probably was not paying any attention. I can think of other ways to commit suicide.

Man, that shit was disturbing when I saw it in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Never thought it'd actually happen...

That sounds about right. People get themselves killed that way fairly regullarly which is weird.

Didn't live to regret his mistake.
That was a false one according to my Darwin Award book. The prop, for him to do that, would have to be going so slow as to not be any threat at all.

It's possible if they were still running the engines up.

He'd have to be walking damn fast and be very thin to do it, the encounter referred to here was false anyway, but you'dn have to be a damn idiot or... Darwin Award nominee to try that stunt.

what about the time where the NYPD cop was fighting the terrorist upon the wing of the 747 and the cop punched the guy into the jet engine and he was shredded. The cop jumped off the wing and lit some jet fuel and the fire shot towards the plane and it blew up. I heard reports that the guy said something like "Yippe-Kay-Yae Motherfucker" or something...
You wanna set an example Garak....Use him, Let him Die!!

It can be surprisingly hard to tell where a prop is, in my experience. I mean, you gotta be real friggin careful around those things.
Howedar is no longer here. Need to talk to him? Talk to Pick.
