Without a doubt, the final boss in Doom II. After the going with 29 levels of insanity, all I remember doing after seeing him the first time is going "Oh, SHIT."
Fortunately, he was easy to beat, if you know what to do. But goddamn, I was terrified of that game like no other. Hopefully, Doom III will live up to its name.

I was wondering- how did the N'Sync guy do with the voice of Spehiroth? I thought it was strange casting in KH, but I have heard no cpmplaints.IG-88E wrote:SHIT YEAH! Sephiroth is totally badass, both in FF7 and KH.Majin Gojira wrote:Sephiroth. I've only seen him once, while a freind of mine was playing "Kingdom Hearts". HO-LY SHIT.

No complaints because honestly a guy with only attack phrases is not really any indication of bad or good.
Seriously I didn't understand the hub-bub when it was said that 'hidden boss' Sephinroth(who had no story in the Japanese version and US was the first to experience him thus precluding any story elements) was going to voiced by Lance Bass.
I mean how can someone screw up saying "Die."?

Doom III is still in testing. My roommate just downloaded the Alpha version 0.02 and from what little we can see, Doom III has the awesome graphics that was promised. Obviously, the game runs very slow right now, so the cinematics aren't of the greatest quality, but we were both awe-struck by it anyways.

Actually he was a massively dissapointing boss for me. Circle-strafe+your biggest gun=dead boss. I mean, it was even a shitty death for him: Yeaaarh - *pop*.Col. Jerec from the original Jedi Knight- the way he held his sabre in a non threatening manner then just brought it up was cool. Even cooler when I kicked his bald ass.

The King of Norfair (Meta-Ridley). The way he "dies" is kinda funny.
Also, Crazy Hand and Giga Bowser are cool. Lavos is sweet too, especially the fact that you instinctively attack the humanoid one, except that the real Lavos is actually one of the bits.

Don't remind me of him... That was a nasty fucking battle.Pablo Sanchez wrote:Jack Lupino in Max Payne. You know, the tough bastard with the Sawed-Off shotgun, in the opera house or whatever it was? That was always a fun battle.
On a similar note. Pablo from Hitman 1. I remember thinking - damnit I've shot this guy more than 70 times with 7.62, blown him out of a second storey window and he's still running around firing an M-60 (one-handed) at me.
Nasty battle more like it, Tons of guns poping up every which placeJack Lupino in Max Payne. You know, the tough bastard with the Sawed-Off shotgun, in the opera house or whatever it was? That was always a fun battle.

Mine's Kefka in Final Fantasy III for the SNES.Sir Sirius wrote:So who or what, from which game, is your favourite end of level boss?
I'd have to go with The Cyberdemon from Doom (the original) for being a though bastard to kill with the minigun or Ugh-Zan III the vicious warlock from Serious Sam for being just simply HUGE . Also Jerec's Sith followers from Darkforces 2 were nice, the same goes for the darkJedi in Jediknight 2.
+ some oldies that I can't remember right now.
Oh, just remembered, the final boss from The Chaos Engine was extra neat.
You know this game, man I loved that game...got to go find it now, I should still have in tucked away in some dark corner...

Ah, my namesake. What a fucking whore. I shot him straight in the face with a Desert Eagle immediately after kicking the doors open, and what does he do? Yell insults through the huge hole where his nose used to be, and fire away.weemadando wrote:On a similar note. Pablo from Hitman 1. Safer Sephiroth, FF7. You hearing this chorus and your thinking WTF? And then Mr. "One-Winged Angel" appears. But lets not forget his all powerful summon. SUPER TEN MINUTE LONG SEQUENCE COMET 'O DEATH! I literally left the room, made myself a sandwhich and watched the end to a movie cam eback in and it was finishing up. And since I was too much of a lazy ass to get Knights of the Round, I had to watch Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus die OVER and OVER and OVer again!
Still, awesome fight.

Re: Favourite end of level boss?
Kefka was a pussy. Fighting him went like this: "Ultima", "Ultima", "Ultima", "Ultima". Repeat until well cooked. Of course, I DID have a bizarre game glitch that taught EVERY SINGLE ONE of my characters Ultima, plus gave me (I shit you not) about 500 excalibur swords and paladin shields. I have never, ever, ever, ever been able to make this glitch repeat.jegs2 wrote:Mine's Kefka in Final Fantasy III for the SNES.
Nevertheless, Kefka looked scarier than he was. Now Zeromus, from FFII (FFIV in Japan), he was badass. He owned me so bad the first time I fought him, I had to spend 3 hours (game time) levelling up just to have a chance against him.
