Shit, I think that thing needs a forearm stock.
Lovely piece, though. I'd probably prefer that Taurus .22 long-rifle Hornet revolver. Small calibre, but it's a decently powerful rifle case.
Overall though, I'm going to have to admit that Mateba Model 6 Unica sparkes my interest. Semi-automatic revolver? Y-U-M.

Which is completely illegal unless you have 16 (I think) inch long barrel. As to why it's illegal I don't have a clue.Darth Utsanomiko wrote: Shit, I think that thing needs a forearm stock.

In the movie Maltaese Falcon(sp?) the only fully automatic revolver made was the murder weapon.Overall though, I'm going to have to admit that Mateba Model 6 Unica sparkes my interest. Semi-automatic revolver? Y-U-M.

It'd be a bit big for an SMG. Muzzle wear would be a bitch, and you'd need a thick firing pin. Be a bear of a gun. Thompsons are already heavy enough, and they're .45 calibre. Considering a .50 cal is a light anti-materiel rifle, I don't think you'd NEED a .50 SMG, unless you're planning on hunting Hummers. Hey...wait...can I get one of those .50 SMGs? I need one next time I'm driving on I-4.Rubberanvil wrote:IMHO .50 caliber would be of better in a SMG instead of pistols.Darth Wong wrote:The perfect accessory for the man who has penis envy.

Weren't Thompson full-auto machineguns in a .50 calibre, or was it just .45? Whichever it is, it sure is fun to watch it tear up a target to hell with some major holes.
Anywho, you could technically carry a .50 revolver without it being a penis compensator. Just paint the external parts in pink, paint a flower on the grip, and cover the end of the barrel with a Smiley sticker. That way, not only to you need alot of manhood to carry it in the first place, it confuses the fuck out of whomever you have to point it at to defend yourself, and you know when it's been fired if the smiley sticker has been broken!

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw this thing: I was wondering how far the gun would be flung from my hand trying to fire it (leaving aside the question of it being 4 1/2 pounds.)Sea Skimmer wrote:Wow! If you fired on automatic the weapon would be torn from your hands after dislocating your shoulder and tearing the mussels.

Because like one or two long barreled Civil war pistols, it had an attachable shoulder stock.Darth Utsanomiko wrote:I hope not. My dad owns one.
what's wrong with German broom-handled pistols with complicated actions, anyway?

Then again in Marshal Law, you have to have meta human augmentation to use them, and in Stainless Steel Rat, they are gyrojet pistols, with variable warheads.
I still think Jim DiGritz is a bad ass for being able to use one (Or maybe it's his growing up on a High G planet....

2" diameter guns is like 4x the diameter of a .50 caliber, if my math is right. We're talking something more like a grenade launcher or a shotgun. The Yosemite Bear wrote:Then again in Marshal Law, you have to have meta human augmentation to use them, and in Stainless Steel Rat, they are gyrojet pistols, with variable warheads.

Depending on the muzzle velocity, I imagine that weapon would have a brutal recoil, augmentation or no.
