Oooof! Hey, this tackling thing isn't so bad... And you are very welcome, my dear.

Anyone who thinks this is off-topic is WRONG because it is Cowboy Bebop related, so nyah. *sticks tongue out*

Oh, and thanks, I like my new av too. Wanted something to bring in the sun-shiny weather...assuming it ever arrives. :D

Snow here.

I hope Bebop gets a more general release like Spirited Away did.

Doubtful, Bebop doesn't have the Oscar buzz of SA.

That would be awesome...given that recently saw Spirited Away on a real Big screen was very nice...and would love to see CB on that size of screen, even if only for say a week or so.

SA got a more general release after it did relatively well in its limited run. It only just got rereleased.

I think that Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door has the potential to do as well. It's got hard core fans and given wider distribution is has an accessible enough story to draw in new veiwers and anime lay-people.

I think it's going to depend on how well it does in it's current release. Given that Cowboy Bebop has one of the largest and most devoted fanbases in anime I think it'll do well.

I was all hyped hearing that it was coming to the U.S. (I have the subtitled from Jap though) but alas, it's nowhere here that I know of. I must re check the listings in the hopes of finding it. Oh well, I got AotC on the IMAX!!!

The Numbers

Well, the weekend numbers for Cowboy Bebop are in. Not bad considering the number of theaters.

See? See? If they had done a nation-wide release, they could be raking in at least seven figures a week!

Hopefully they'll release it nationwide now that they have the proof.

Saw it on the big screen today. Man, it was better than I remembered! Hoo-ah! Now I'm pumped. I had totally forgotten about the scene where the ISSP takes over the water-treatment facility. That scene kicks ass.

Kiyah!

Oh, and I should add that the theater I saw it in had maybe ten people, including myself, in attendance. That was pretty sad, but it didn't change the fact that the movie roxored.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Just got cold here, too...and it's the Sunshine State. Of course, "cold" means in the 50s, so I'm perfectly fine. All the native Southerners, OTOH... :D

And back on-topic, that movie better get released nationwide. Last episode's on tonight, and I want more Bebop...
