I like to use a simple text editor or html editor program instead of using a webpage editing program like Front Page or Dreamweaver, because I don't understand (and don't like) all the extra stuff they tend to include into the page.

I've only ever done a very limited amount of web page building and that was for a college Humanities class about 6 years ago. We were taught how to do the basics using Netscape Communicator. I edited a few glitches by using the reveal code fuction on a working site and then fixing the errors on mine.

Basically I don't know jack about making web sites so I went the easy route.
By the pricking of my thumb,
Something wicked this way comes.
Open, locks,

I use Dreamweaver, and EditPlus to hardcode and for PHP that invariable ends up in my pages.

I originally started with ClarisPages are part of a school project, and learned HTML by browsing through the source. Graphical editors do make it a lot easier for tables, etc, but to be precise, I prefer hardcoding it.

I use CSS heavily, and my pages are up to W3C standards... CSS is great because it minimizes the load size needed, makes it convenient to change a whole layout at once, etc.
