That'd be cool, but frankly, that scenario compares apples and oranges. It's like Alexander the Great vs. Rommel. A tank/modern infantry commander would have little knowledge of cavalry tactics, and vice-versa.

That'd be cool, but frankly, that scenario compares apples and oranges. It's like Alexander the Great vs. Rommel. A tank/modern infantry commander would have little knowledge of cavalry tactics, and vice-versa.

AH! How little you know about George S. Patton! He WAS a horse cavalry commander! For the first half of his carrer! Only after the mounted cavary was disbanded did Patton become a tank man.

Stonewall Jackson probably, and compared to the likes of Gustavus Adolphus and Belisarius, he might not do so well. But at the very least, he would give them a hard fight.
