It's around 8 in the morning and were at 76F already. It looks like were supposed to hit 106 by Sunday with tomorrow only getting up to 104F.

I'm not too sure today will be as hot as it could be because there is ton of smoke hanging over the city becuase of the wildfires. It was almost low enough this morning to be fog. For the mountains it looked like really nasty, dirty fog. :? Earlier in the week everything was clear except for the one big cottony looking ploom of smoke over Mt. Lemmon. I think there's just too many fires in too many directions now. Plus the wind direction changed a bit last night.

41º C, Shep. If the temperature ever reaches 100ºC, we won't have to worry anymore about the heat, that's the good thing about being dead, no more worries :D

Celsius Shep, Celsius. 41°C works out to about 106°F, which is a nice spring day in Kuwait.

But doesn't it usually rain at least a little every afternoon?

Of course that can contribute to the humidity but I never minded humidity as much as most people.

It's supposed to, but it's not like that anymore. When it rains, it rains ALL FREAKIN DAY, in alternating periods of utlra-heavy downpour and just-barely-enough-to-be-called-rain sprinkling. When it doesn't, it just doesn't. Last rain in my area was *counts* 5 days ago now, i think

Damn it. San Francisco should not hit 80ºF under any circumstances. It's San Francisco, it should be cold with a capital "K!"

This is from around 4:30 in the afternoon here.
108F
Partly Cloudy
W 13mph
Relative humidity 13%

It's hot, but one of the things about the low humidity is that when you are in the shade it's usually not too bad. That's where they take the temperatures anyway, in the shade at a set distance from the ground away from any wind.

On the same note it is a lot hotter in the sun. The UV here is intense so it's much much worse in direct sunlight.

You think that's hot? 100F? I just got back to home from visiting the family in good ol' Yuma, Arizona. At this moment it is :
Real Temp:111F
feels like:125F
wtih a hot blasted wind from the south at 10MPH

Not that's hot. The only thing not so bad is the humidity, only 30-50%.

Living in heat like that is not a lifestyle choice, it's for survival. My favorite rule is going grocery shopping after swing shift at midnight when it's ONLY 100F.

Thanks god I'm home... (Alpine California)

Well, if you choose to live in a frickin' desert you should expect weather like that. :P

Last week was pretty good in western PA. Hot weather (I don't know how hot, though) until Friday, and no rain. I'm glad it coincided with camp. Although I do wish it was 110 degrees out now and I had a swimming pool. Hot weather is no good if you can't find a way to cool off.

Yuma is alwasy so pleasantly cool this time of year. shock: Hottest frickin' place in Arizona it seems.

It probably was 125 or more when you were in the sun. It's easy enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk or a car hood when the official temp is around 100 so I'm thinking it's a lot hotter in the sun than what the official temps are since they take those in the shade.

You know, despite the high temperature the thing that really bugs me about Arizona is the damn dry hot breezes. If they'd just be a little cool or a little moist but nooooooooooo it's got to be like someone hitting you with the hair dryer on top of the already high temperature. :?
