Last year, I had a bad experience. I asked out a girl I worked with, and said yes. Sounds good, right? Well, I kept asking when she wanted to go do something, and she kept stalling. Finally, I figured out she didn't have the spine to say "no" when I asked her out and was just going to keep stalling until I took a hint. Which was pretty quick, except I kept asking anyway to get her mad and to get her to admit it and be honest. Which was unnecessary but my sense of righteous indignation could not be denied. Finally, I left her alone, and that was that.

Yesterday, I see her at her job. She's 30 pounds heavier. So it's a good thing this happened- if I wanted to go surfing, I'd move to an area with a beach.
