To be fair one does not necessarily have anything to do with the other. If he has no knowledge or passion into watching/researching stocks and the stockmarket as he would sports.. it's probably good he doesn't invest.Shinova wrote:kojikun wrote:i suggested to someone whos good at 'fantasy basketball' that he should try trading stocks since he seems to be good at predicting what players will perform well. you know his answer? I can barely stand it when a group of people waddle up to some locker by me and discuss how Stupid Jerk Y insults and pushes around Stupid Girl X, but she still goes out with him, and how that's somehow a good idea.
WTF? Just because he has blonde hair and is on the freakin' basketball team doesn't mean he's perfect. My hair gets streaked blonde in the summer and I play rugby, but no one's throwing themselves at my feet. Nooooo. Probably has to do with me able to speak coherently or something.

What's even more disturbing is the sort of hive mind effect I've noticed since the 7th grade. Talk to a few of the vacuous idiots and you have the exact same conversation with all of them. They all answer the same thing to every question not related to who they're going out with.

Oh ho ho... fascinating. You bristle like a porcupine when someone makes a sweeping generalization and then you say that? Biological roles become social roles. However, human societal norms come and go, so that point is only somewhat validinnerbrat wrote:Darth Wong - extremely valid points, but don't confuse biological roles with social ones...

What? I just said I find loud personal stereos annoying. Did I say all men listen to them at that volume? No. Did I even say that Aerius listened to his stereo at that volume? No.Gil Hamilton wrote:Oh ho ho... fascinating. You bristle like a porcupine when someone makes a sweeping generalization and then you say that? I don't find that really annoying, because I have taught myself how to drown out music. It's just like ignoring a conversation,a ctually...innerbrat wrote:Aerius - if there's one thing more annoying than a giggle of school girls at one end o the bus being high pitched and bitchy on their mobile phones, it's the twenty-something male at the other end, listening to his personal stereo at a volume (even through headphones) to drown out the thoughts of those of us who actually have them.
Anyways, as to my experiances with women, I got lucky and found that there were a group of semi-crazy girls who had managed to gather together in my High School Japanese class. Unfortunalty, they're all a year older than me, but it has kept my santiy in line for the last three years. What I'm going to do senior year, however...

Peersonally i resent that. I get on a bus and it's full of school girls talking the biggest load of shite and then getting cheeky when an old lady asks them not to swear. Maybe that just Belfast Millies but it bugs the shit outta me. Do you think we chose to listen to music loud enough to make yiur ears bleed? As Aerius poined out it's a sane mans only defence against having his IQ forcably lowered. Personally i blame Pay As You Go Mobiles. If i had my way you'd have to be 18 before you could buy a mobile.innerbrat wrote:Aerius - if there's one thing more annoying than a giggle of school girls at one end o the bus being high pitched and bitchy on their mobile phones, it's the twenty-something male at the other end, listening to his personal stereo at a volume (even through headphones) to drown out the thoughts of those of us who actually have them.
