Don't forget She-Ra. Oooh, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! I know I have those toys stashed around here somewhere. Then there was the original Transformers. One time I actually wrote my name as "Optimus Prime" on a test in first grade, and nearly got in alot of trouble for it. Hmm...what else....Dinosaucers! Oohh Denver the Dinosaur!

Panthro was my favourite thundercat, he was big, blue, bald, and quite possibly gay. He also drove the ace thundermobile (i think it was called that)Lord Pounder wrote:The fraggles where great i have the theme as a ring tone.
Remember the Thundercats? They where really cool. I used to have the Eye of Thundera made out of mechano.
look it's panthro!

Thundertank.
I used to have the toy version of it. On Steakandcheese.com they have a wav of thindercat bloopers. Quite funny to hear your boyhood idols tellign each other to fuck off in character. Incidently i prefered Jaga. Can anyone see a resembelance to Ben Kenobi with him?

Are remember Silverhawks looking cool but I only watched it a few times.Damaramu wrote:Anyone remember:

The Real Ghostbusters
Turbo Teen
Rubix
Hulk Hogan's Rock & Wrestling
Rambo
The Real Ghostbusters was excellent. It's also the reason Slimer had to make a cameo in Ghostbusters II.
I don't remember Turbo Teen and only vaguely recall the name Rubix.
I used to watch Hulk Hogan's Rock & Wrestling semi-regularly. Other than Hogan I mainly remember Captain Lou Albano and Andre the Giant on the show.
I only caught a small bit of Rambo and don't remember it being all that good.

Yeah, I miss that show. Remember that rip-off version that had them with an old wind-up car from the 40's or something?Rye wrote:The Real Ghostbusters was my favourite show as a kid, absolutely superb.

That rip-off version was trying to capitalize on the movie but it was based on a live action show I used to watch in the 70s. IIRC it had the two main guys from F-Troop and a gorilla who went around dealing with ghosts. It was pretty decent as a live action show but quickly disappeared as a cartoon.Vertigo1 wrote:Yeah, I miss that show. It certainly couldn't compete with the Real Ghostbusters. That show had some very good writing for a cartoon.

No, but i remember the figures of them (i got most of them), an episode where there was another team of ghostbusters that stole their business, one where there was this TV-demon, with a ghost spock and mccoy, who says "we're dead jim".When i was old enough to understand that i found it hella funny. The TV demon also said "DIE NOW PAY LATER" also very clever.Vertigo1 wrote:Yeah, I miss that show. Apparently there's an episode written by JMS of b5 fame called "Collect Call Of Cthulhu"...someone should put them on kazaa.
Then there was the piss-poor remake, with a politically correct Ghostbusters, including more "ethnic" ghostbuster members and a guy in a wheelchair.
Fuck, gonna have to find my ancient videos now...

Hey! Extreme Ghostbusters was not that bad! It had some cool episodes, and the characters were entertaining. Although having a wheelchair bound Ghostbuster (Even an athletic one as Garrett was) was really pushing it.
I liked it when they linked back to episodes of the original Ghostbusters cartoon, and even better, the two-parter episode where the rest of the original team (Winston, Ray, and Peter) came back and they whupped ghostie ass.
That said..... Ghostbusters. Transformers. Ducktales. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. 'Nuff said.

The show was called The Mysterious Cities of Gold. It only had about 40 episodes in all.Rye wrote:"cities of gold" - i dont remember this.

I remember that I was intrigued by that show. Loved all the funny ancient gadgets...
