Put the kids into debt-bondage for a few years. Have them work with mother, to squeeze the last possible amount of cookies and cookie-related items out of her. Then, when sufficient resources are accumulated, make a bold move out into the neighborhood, leaving the kids and depleted mother far, far behind. There has to be more cookies out there, someplace.
