Isn't that then considered hail?

Yeah, freezing rain does suck. We get a lot of it here. Causes a lot of black ice, which in turn means people are going to be idiots and slam into other cars.

And hail does not occour in the winter.

Sideswiped by them. The Tampa Bay area is rarely hit by hurricanes (it's been decades), but we're pretty much screwed if we are.

Hurts like hell, too, if you mix it with sleet...and if you're lucky, you CAN get hail in the winter--trust me, I've had it happen...

In some places, storms can rip through an area and cause millions of dollars of damage in a few hours. Once, I was in Arizona, and when we got in it was hot and sunny. By the time we got out an hour later, everything was a mess. Roads were blocked, and te electricity was out at out hotel.

Meanwhile, in PA, we don't get such weather. Instead, it's dragged out as day after day of cold, cloudy, rainy, depressing weather.

I live in Potugal. No hurricans, hardly ever tough weather. Sunny days and lots of beaches. And the national economy recents the fact, because of lack of incentive to go to work

Wow, the hurricane went thru with 65 miles per hour winds and drizzling. That was cool walking outside , and walking aganist the wind. :D I've had hail in day time walking outside, it hurt like hell I took cover quick.

We just got dumbed on by Isidore. I lived through Andrew and several other minor ones. Hurricanes are cool, unless of course you live in New Orleans.

Yeah, I remember Andrew. And it's funny too watch New Orleans flood. I'm about a 100 miles west where are you?

Heh. I was in Oklahoma when Hurricane Andrew hit..and I was in Norfolk when Felix was around...VERY good thing it didn't hit the jet stream...we would've been right on it's path...I feel sorry for those out in the Caribbean, though...

I've never been in an actual hurricane. The closest was a storm in Minnesota with hurricane-force straight line winds. There were knocked down trees and power lines all over the place after that one.
I prepared Explosive Runes today.
