I'm allergic to lots of pollens, as well as pet hair. I was formally diagnosed as a kid and spent more than 10 years getting weekly allergy shots. At the end my allergies were much worse than they were at the beginning. It got so bad I couldn't drive from Waterloo to Toronto (a 1 hour drive) without stopping 10 times or more because I couldn't breathe.
In university, I got fed up and quit the shots. And then, after joining the workforce, I tried cleaning up my diet and doing a few natural remedies, and my allergies are very weak now, almost gone.

Raw tomatos. Don't know why, but if I eat even something touched by a raw tomato (like when the restaurant puts it on, then remembers I said no tomatos and remove them ), I get to spend the next for hours on the toilet.
Isopril. It's a drug given to me in the mid-70's because I had pnuemonia and the doctor thought it would help open my airway. Instead, it gave me yellow hives and jaundice.
The Chemicals in Chemical Valley. I swear I never had so much trouble with my sinuses and lungs before I moved from the mountains to the Capitol City with its 15 chemical plants. Now I get sinustis and broncitis every change of season.
Iv'e never been checked for other allergies, tho. If I find out I'm allergic to cats, I'm in trouble. I'm not getting rid of Tevar-kitty and Star-kitty. I'd get rid of Nitram first.

Nitram, slightly high on cough syrup: Do you know you're beautiful?
Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.
