She had a little scare thanks to a paperwork screwup in her visas & sponsor forms, but it's all sorted out and things are going good for her. She's had an amazing time over there so far but it's been hard at times for all of us, especially her family since they're really close. We're all running up pretty big phone bills these days. As for holidays & visits, we don't know, she might be able to work something out but it's hard to say.
Can you not clear your work schedule to go out there? A week might not be much, especially with the travel time eating into it, but even if you only get 2-3 days with her - wouldn't that be enough? Bring her things from home, best wishes from her friends, a warm body at night.
Flights to Nepal are reasonably cheap, though the connections can be a bit hair-riasing if you go the very cheapest routes, you should look into it.
