that game was just plain ugly. There shouldn't be ugly ass blowouts like that between two playoff teams. It was like watching a KC-Detroit game.
 Wow, that would be ugly.

OH, and Nathan F, Indy has a better chance against KC than Tennesse has against NE. Sorry but I speaketh the trutheth.

indeed you do! i fucking love that "flaming thumbtacks" bit and it has stuck... now refer to Tennessee that way exclusively. (the logo really does look like a flaming thumbtack) *Laughs at Jersey/B

No one can beat the Patriots at home in January. And I don't think that the Packers can wim in Philly. So, my money is on a Eagles/Patriots Super Bowl.

I think the Flaming thumbtacks have a chance, the Flying Elvii only win close games, and if the thumbtacks can ckeep the score close, and get some good plays at the end they can win.

Don't pretend like it was some great win. Without the Ravens' Orlando Brown ya'll would have lost it a long time before. He cost the Ravens one potential touchdown drive and the chance to pin you fuckers on the five. In other words I would be sending him presents (as he isn't getting anything but a pink slip from the Ravens) for hand delivering your win.

Enough of this foolish bickering; PREDICTIONS!!!!

Carolina > St. Louis. For no other reason then I HATE St. Louis (and because the Lions ruined their shit!)

Philly > Green Bay. Philedelphia has a more talented team overall, though I'd be hard pressed to say McNabb, in all his goody goodness, is as good as the living legend of Brett Favre.

New England > Tennesee. Because NE has a better overall team than Tennesee; though NFL MVP Steve McNair is the superior QB. Plus the snow's a killer (if they have an outdoor arena--I don't know shit about these guys really).

Indy > Kansas City. KC was overrated from the start. They had an easy schedule until that Denver loss which shut them down good. Now Indy just whipped the holy hell out of Denver; plus Peyton Manning ROCKS.

Bah. Tennessee>New England. Behold:

Code: Select all

Eddie George+Steve McNair+Frank Wycheck+Derrick Mason+Justin Hartwig=([pTD(3)][YAC(20)])/(1.2 in.S+(-)15F)=42

Code: Select all

New England-(Kevin Carter+Jevon Kearse+Samari Rolle+Andre Dyson)=10

You'd be surprised. I've frozen my gloved hand to doors before, had to take the glove off and go get hot water to get it off the metal latch to the barn door. It can get quite cold here, although it's usually past football season in mid to late January. I've seen many a below zero day here. (And yes, snot will freeze to your face, and sweat will stiffen a uniform, and blood will probably freeze to a steel bench).

Philly - Westbrook = ?

I'm hoping that Buckhalter and Staley will step up. It could be a great swan song for Duce before he packs up and leaves town.

Also, I'm really hoping for a Carolina > St. Louis upset. If would make our lives so much easier.

Pats will win the Superbowl though, much as I hate to say it. The damn New Englanders at school are already saying how it will make up for the Red Sox losing. Except that obviously it won't because the Sox always lose.

Still. If the Pats were to lose it would make me VERY happy, and not only because if would likely be an Eagles Superbowl.

I am a mean person.

So the complete shutdown of their running game had NOTHING to do with it? 30 yards worth of penalties is hardly a game stopper. They had their share of screwups, and we had ours. Hopefully we won't have those again...

Share? Dude McNair threw more interceptions in that game than he did in the last HALF of the season. You seriously need to correct that and quick.

The fact that he threw alot of INT's in one game while usually he doesn't should be a clue that it was an atypically bad performance. Bottom line is, McNair is a top-tier quarterback. He'll do well, and it does get quite cold in tennessee. It's not too much of a damned stretch to play in a bit colder environ. Will it be in the pats favor? Yeah, but it's not like Nashville is fucking Miami, for chrissake.

Sorry man, no way can Carolina beat STL. I'd like to see it, but it ain't happening.
Philly > Green Bay. Philedelphia has a more talented team overall, though I'd be hard pressed to say McNabb, in all his goody goodness, is as good as the living legend of Brett Favre.
Well, the reality thwarting luck of GB has to count for something. Techniquely and statisticaly the Eagles are the easy pick but god damn GB pulls shit out of their ass. I'll still go for the Eagles though.
New England > Tennesee. Because NE has a better overall team than Tennesee; though NFL MVP Steve McNair is the superior QB. Plus the snow's a killer (if they have an outdoor arena--I don't know shit about these guys really).
Agreed.
Indy > Kansas City. KC was overrated from the start. They had an easy schedule until that Denver loss which shut them down good. Now Indy just whipped the holy hell out of Denver; plus Peyton Manning ROCKS.
Dude your on crack. How the hell is Green+Holms+Hall+Boerichter +Garcia overrated. My god, your looking at one of the top rated offense in the Leauge. Manning is an awsome QB and it will be a totally offensive game with a score like 45 to 41 or some such thing.

I think your vision is skewed though. Indy's a good team but Denver beat Denver last weekend. Massive defensive failure, lack of coordination in the backfield in the offense. The god damn Lions could have beat Denver that day.

They can't stop Christopher Reeves from getting to a refrigerator, and you expect them to win in the play-offs?

if i may be allowed to wank further, there is a strong chance of snow for the southern New England area on Saturday night which is a clear activation of Tom Brady's Charector Shields of Snowy Doom TM

You'd have to wank pretty hard to cover all of southern New England like that...

As I mentioned earlier, it'll be a offensive game. Chiefs defense is nothing to cheer about but the offense is one of the top scorers of the game.
