Here is what it would be like trying to put the Avenger on the Apache.

With some strengthening you could likely mount and fire the cut down GAU-13 gunpod version from the wings, 826 kg with 4 barrels and 353 rounds of ammuntion. I doubt the recoil would be a real big issue, accuracy would be however.

I doubt it would be necessasry. The Apache can use FFARs to take out targets that are tough for the chaingun. And if it is heavily armoured like Tanks then there is always Hellfires.
