Watching anime certainly is part of the appeal of the language to me, but much more than that, I am interested in the culture, and the job oppertunities. (Overseas consultant, for example.)

Bah, anime is fucking retarded. Just marry a Japanese girl like I did. It is true, my wife does fold our dirty clothes... Never really thought about that.

A word of advise for you college guys; get female Japanese roommates. Not only do they clean up after themselves, but some are really hot and most of them can cook.
