Re: VITAL STATISTICS:Three of a kind...
This post made in conjunction with Moose Rebellion High Command, and being a biography of El Moose Monstero and The_Lumberjack.
Name three of your best virtues:
Honest, Trustworthy, Considerate
or
Good Humour, Moosey Love and being the Leader of a large animal based Rebellion.
Name three of your worst habits:
Biting my nails, making too much noise when I get up, and being lazy.
or
Taunting the Lobster People, Pillaging the Elephant Bakery and appearing naked in all major battles.
Name three wishes:
Peace and Long life, Happiness, and that eventually, it'll all work out in the end. It usually does
or
Destruction of the Elephant Remnant, A purple and yellow mini cooper hovercraft, and oooh, oooh, a pair of detachable antlers!
Name three things you would change about your life:
Make myself get out more and earlier in first year, avoid getting to know Angelalyn and getting more self control...
or
Begin the Moose Rebellion earlier, Bring the Mariachi Bands of Mordor onto our side earlier, and stop serving nachos in the Moose Rebellion High Command canteen.
Name three things you would change about your physical appearance:
Clearer skin, it would be great to lose the pitting and scars from the Roacutane therapy, flatter stomach, it's not bad, but I'm working on it, teeth naturally whiter - sort of a crap back up option, I really dont care but its all that springs to mind.
or
Antlers, naturally ocurring battle armour and soft plush strokable fur...
Name three things that make you cry:
Double Ear Infections, Extreme Loneliness and Emotional Films
or
The sheer beauty of the Moose Rebellion troops in action, the bitter taste of defeat and the blood of the innocent spilt by our foes...
Name three things that make you laugh out loud:
Just a minute, Dead Ringers, I'm sorry I haven't a clue.
or
A Lobster armada trying to take on a Giant Purple Moose Monster, an Elephant Lawnmower cavalry unit not being able to start after a long winter, and the sight of the motivational hit badgers doing what they do best...
Name three things you would miss most about SD.net if it closed down: The chit-chat, the regular flow of funky people and the fact that I'd actually have to get on with getting a degree.
or
A foothold of fresh blood for the Rebellion, a public information source to provide updates on the evils of the Elephant Remnant, the Crustacean Alliance and the dastardly coop, oh, and Starcrossed.
Name three things you would like to achieve before you die:
Being thought of as a decent human being, prosperity for the next generation, and to have lead a good life.
or
Total World Presence of the MR, Spreading of Moosey Love to all corners of creation, and free corsets for the Under-5's.
Name three times you felt let down:
When a friend said that my other friend had gone somewhere with him and probably wouldnt be turning up to mine, and she knew nothing about it and turned up at mine anyway. When I realised that noone I'd met in that first year at Lancaster was a lasting friend or had any time for me, and when I realised that in 20000 words of MSN conversation, Angelalyn never once asked how I was or how I was doing. So to hell with her.
or
When the General of the Sixth Kiri Kiri Goat division didnt quite pull off the display he'd promised, when the canteen spoilt the Chilli for the Annual Cook-off, and when the Haggis Poetry Grand National winner I'd picked was disqualified for using a thesaurus.
Name three things that restore your faith in humanity:
Simple courtesy, People doing Good Deeds, and watching those heroic moments you see on the News every now and again.
or
When I see the supporters of all things Moosey flocking at my door, all three of them.
Name three people in History that you admire:
Oh, there was Graeme, he sat next to me, there was Sarah, she was third from the back, and the teacher was pretty good too.
or
Barry, Head Giant Purple Moose Monster, I daren't ask how old he is these days, Hannibal, for cookery tips and for hints on Elephant Thermal Exhaust Ports and Nero, as I'm out of CDRW's again.
Name three tips for a good life:
Speak softly, Do what makes you and the people you care about happy, and always know where your towel is.
or
Wear purple tights to state occassions, comb your fur regularly and never go to bed with it still wet.
Name three things you regret doing:
Making an arse of myself with cliches to a girl called Vicky last year, not noticing certain things earlier in life, and having a lonely first year in Uni, there are others, but I've reconciled with most of them.
or
Last night's chilli fest, I don't think the High Command has been that colour in several months, not acting sooner on the Elephant Remnant Intelligence, and winding a chap with a big lever and a tendency to deploy large Python style feet on me and my staff at random moments in life.
Name three moments in your life that scared you:
Never really scared, a couple of hairy moments when death was gently fondling things I'd rather he didnt fondle, but no real scary moments.
or
Musent. Damn that stuff. Working in the Themed Lord of the Rings pub washing up dungeon as a small child, and the sight of a nude Lobster, always sends a shiver up my spine.
Name three ex-boyfriends/girlfriends:
Noone, noone and noone.
or
The Moose Rebellion is my girlfriend and my boyfriend and my antlered friend all in one big package... and what a package...
Name three best friends:
Claire, Sarah, Graeme, and others but you said three.
or
A large nuclear hedgehog, a Giant Purple Moose Monster and a Badger with a manic gleam in its eye.
Name three players on your favourite sports team:
Not really applicable, it's hard to keep track of players whilst I'm over here, but Bruce Dyer, David James (if he's still there), and Dave Watson (he's not really still playing, but it's a family thing)
or
Maisie, Champion Haggis Grand National Poetry Winner, 2003
Jason the Moose, 3 times winner, 100m Which member of the PR team can runaway from El Moose Monstero's Motivational Hit Badgers fastest sprint.
Ernie. He drives the fastest milk cart in the West.
Name three skills you could bring to a table:
Occassional good joke, reasonable conversation and good manners.
or
Cool gory war stories, my best pair of purple tights and polished antlers, and an ability to hang any waiter who doesnt give decent service from afore mentioned antlers.
Name three ways to cook an egg:
Well, Barely and Badly.
or
Poached Egg and Lobster, Elephant Steak and a Fried Egg and Scrambled Egg and Fresh Psionic Chicken salad.
Name three ways to impress Beaker:
A large twenty ton weight and soft ground.
Flowers and chocolates.
A nice romantic dinner...ahhhh...
or
Demonstrate the full majesty of the Moose Rebellion as an interpretive dance.
Show him the large chilli vats of Khazadum.
Introduce him to the Motivational Hit Badger squad.
Name three ways to piss Beaker off:
Eat all of the flowers and chocolates.
Flirt with the waiter.
Leave him with the bill.
or
Really introduce him to the Motivational Hit Badger squad
Get the Aerial Goat Squadrons to eat all his shoes.
Send poems about battering lobsters with his name on them to the King of the Lobster People.
Thank you for taking the time to answer this questionaire
Piss off.
or
If I told you anymore, I'd have to kill you.

Re: VITAL STATISTICS:Three of a kind...
Name three of your best virtues:
1)Honesty/honour (I won't tell a lie, unless it's to protect someone - simple fact is I suck at lying, which is why I don't really do it).
2) I can be persistent if I feel passionate about something, though with my all-or-nothing approach to certain things I'm more likely to fail miserably.
3) I'm extremely loyal to the few friends I care about, and my mother.
Name three of your worst habits:
1) My insularity, it really doesn't serve me well but it's become "comfortable" for me. Afterall, why suffer humiliation when you can endure loneliness?
2) Procrastination (although if I finally become determined to do something I'll stick with it to the end).
3) For awhile now I've suffered indecision about what I want to do with my life, and who I am (still haven't really figured that out).
Name three wishes:
1) I wish I could have faith in myself and my abilties and talents, and that I can make a difference by using them.
2) I wish I could meet someone who is everything I could ever want in a lover, who can cut through my shield and get me to open up.
3) I wish I could go to other stars, but I'll settle for going for a joyride in Saturn's rings - tell me that wouldn't rock!
Name three things you would change about your life:
1) Lose the insularity, stop being afraid of looking at beautiful people and striking up a conversation with them.
2) Get fitter and healthier (already doing that, at the gym).
3) Start getting a little more creative, write stories or draw pictures again, it's been awhile since I've done either.
Name three things you would change about your physical appearance:
1) Abs, baby. I'd go topless everywhere.
2) If I could reverse circumcisions, I would.
3) My hair could be thicker and fuller. I'm worried I might go bald.
Name three things that make you cry:
1) Onions.
2) Stupid people winning arguments, or getting money for being fucked in the head, or spending money when they could be giving it to me. Fuckheads who tell society I have to give and then receive, while they're wearing armani suits or driving BMWs. Fuckheads who blow themselves up, taking schoolbuses with them. Fuckheads who shoot kids, mistaking them for "terrorists." Ok, most of those things make me angry or laugh (in a bitter, twisted sense of the word), but not cry. The thing that really made me cry one time was going to school and finding out a friend's mother died, suddenly and unexpectedly. She was a wonderful human being. Something which caused a lot of misery one time, though it really didn't affect me the way it did other people, was a kid at school committed suicide - again, suddenly and unexpectedly.
3) The end of Gladiator got me, when I first watched it. As did Braveheart. Oh, so did the B5 final episode, when that great big ol' station took a blast. I got misty eyed at the end of ROTK, but not bawling. I can't remember if I cried when Gandalf fell, but I was at least misty eyed. At the end of Dune Messiah, when Paul's wife Chani dies and he takes a long walk out into the desert with no stilsuit. A good end, even if it was a mediocre book - pity Herbet had to wank Dune for 4 more shitty books. There are more films and books which gave me tears, but I can't recall them all.
Name three things that make you laugh out loud:
1) The antics of Robin Williams. He's insane, but in a funny kind of way.
2) Some of the conversations I have with my friends, particularly when we watch something on TV or DVD together and mock the stupid mistakes without mercy.
3) Anything my pets do to one another.
Name three things you would miss most about SD.net if it closed down:
1) I would suddenly have nothing to do with myself.
2) The interesting and challenging people here. Even when people flame you, they do so in a cool way. That doesn't make much sense, but given the restrictive nature of most BBS SD.net certainly allows a lot of creativity when composing a "reply."
3) I don't think I've ever really been as interested as I am when visiting SD.net. This place just rocks.
Name three things you would like to achieve before you die:
1) Have sex. With someone I care about and love.
2) Fire a gun, or own a real katana - I say "real" because my brother just bought some really cheap, blunt ornamental swords. What's the point?
3) I'd like to write something which touches people in the same manner the SW or B5 or LOTR touched people. Fuck it, aim high. As long as you have fun doing it, why not?
Name three times you felt let down:
1) When a guy I fell in love with screwed me over in such a way that I've spent the time since then (1.5 years) thinking it's better to be lonely than take a chance on a fellow human being. What's worse was the guy's brother was a good friend of mine, and he pretty much snubbed me off within seconds of the above incident. I think it took a minute or two, and two of my best friends stopped being there.
2) When my dad abandoned my mother when they became bankrupt. She should have divorced him, but took him back. He stopped working and started lying in bed all day, smoking cigarettes and yelling at my mother for working so hard. He was a mess, and I can't recall him ever acting like a father. I've never gone to him for advice, and I doubt I ever will. (PS - he's gotten better now, and has a job. But for a time there I wouldn't have minded him being hit by a truck. Now, I'm not so sure)
3) When I asked a christian girl out, and was rejected because I wasn't "christian" enough for her. Fool me once, shame on me. I asked a second christian girl out, and got a virtually identical reason for a rejection. Fool me twice, shame on you.
Name three things that restore your faith in humanity:
1) When idiots are trounced in a debate, publicly, excessively, and finally.
2) When the hero of the hour doesn't dance a victory jig or make a smug comment or some shit, or tries to be "inspiring" but really ends up pretentious. When he or she humbily accepts the praise of others but insists they could do better.
3) My friend, Glenn. He's 3 years younger than me, and yet he's got the girl and he's got the life I wish I could have. He's studying to be an astrophysicist, and works hard at it too; not just in his studies, but in general too - he's a hard worker, and motivated. The girl is someone I've fancied for a long time, but she chose him and I can see why too. He is a good friend, probably the best I've ever had.
Name three people in History that you admire:
1) T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia, for those who don't know) - while Europe was a mess of horror and bodyparts, the Arab Revolt had a greater degree of romanticism and adventurous spirit to it (when you compare and contrast the two, that is). After the war he desired no publicity, and essentially became an enigma.
2) That nameless guy, y'know the one - he picks up the wounded on the battlefield, or climbs into a cockpit to defend his carrier or nation, or walks into a burning building to rescue someone, or climbs a mountain just to see what it's like - but for whatever reason fail or die, and their names are forgotten. Or their names are too many to remember.
3) Abe Lincoln. That guy could speak, totally unlike the politicians of today.
Name three tips for a good life:
1) Let go of stress. It's not healthy for you (to state the bleeding obvious).
2) Cosmic Karma's a bitch, so don't fuck with people or be prepared to get fucked back.
3) If someone pushes you, push back; bullies and fuckheads thrive on your fear, so don't give it to them. Stand your ground, but don't strike first - not unless he's really asking for it. Fight for what you want, and what you believe in. Don't compromise those beliefs if they really matter to you, and are worth having.
Name three things you regret doing:
1) Calling a woman a man, by mistake in an attempt to be witty, then ran away like a cowardly bitch. I should have apologised. Although in retrospect she did look pretty man-like.
2) Not exchanging phone numbers and names with this gorgeous girl I met on the train, even though she was obviously flirting with me. The realisation hit me as I was walking out the automatic doors and the train sped away. Fuck! I kicked myself in the arse. My only excuse was that no-one had ever flirted with me before, and I didn't know how to recognise it (and the relatively short train trip it was), but basically I was a coward.
3) I regret not trying harder at Uni, and eventually dropping out. There were things I would change in High School too, exchanged classes so I could do what I perhaps should have done rather than what I thought I wanted to do. For instance, applying to be an Officer in ADFA requires yr12 mathematics, which I didn't do. I took history classes (nothing wrong with that, I enjoyed most of it) when perhaps I should have taken visual art classes. If I could do it all over again, my education would have to change.
Name three moments in your life that scared you:
1) An occassion where I said to my mother to "go away!" or something harsher - basically something for which I should've got slapped in the face for. She then didn't come home when she usually did, and I stayed up worrying about her. She came home 3-4 hours after she normally does, and reminded me of the last thing I said to her.
2) Any time I opened up to another person, face to face, and telling them I loved them. So far, I've never had a good experience doing so.
3) When my dad went nuts, and almost hit me after screaming at my mother in delusional outbursts. I was mad at him, and I was prepared to go for his throat, but he was bigger than me and that scared the shit out of me.
Name three ex-boyfriends/girlfriends:
N/A - I've never been in a relationship that could count. I've certainly had friends that were close to me whom I stopped seeing because I realised they were arseholes, but nothing to the magnitude of an ex-boy/girlfriend.
Name three best friends:
1) Glenn, whom I already mentioned.
2) Jenny, his girlfriend. We've been friends for years, but probably not as close as I'd like to be.
3) Sebastian, who's like Glenn in that both of them were young when they started Uni (both of them turned 18 last year, and that was their 3rd year at Uni). Seb is really timid and shy, but basically a nice guy.
Name three players on your favourite sports team:
N/A - I don't watch sports, so I don't really have a favourite sports team or player/s.
Name three skills you could bring to a table:
1) I can peel spuds. Seriously, I can cook.
2) I'm a greenbelt in ninjutsu, not enough to kill you but enough to give me confidence in a fight.
3) I can read, write and on occasion speak passable english (ok, I'm being self-deprecating). That's more than what I can say for some of the people I've met.
Name three ways to cook an egg:
1) The quick and dirty scrambled option. Excellent!
2) The quick and messy "sunny-side up" option, which usually ends up "sunny-side everywhere" option. Ugh.
3) The slow and pointless boil option. I mean, what the fuck? First you have to boil water, then you have to put the eggs in there and wait. Then you have to take them out and mind that you don't burn your fingers. Then you have to peel the egg shell off, and the blasted thing is still too hot. Then you have this unappetising meal in front of you when you could have scrambled it on the stove. Weak.
Name three ways to impress Beaker:
1) Who?
2) Uh...
3) Er...
Name three ways to piss Beaker off:
See above.
Thank you for taking the time to answer this questionaire
Yeah no problems. When do I get paid?
