I can differentiate easily.
The one with the orange plastic mag, skeleton stock and long muzzle brake is the AKS-74, designed for Soviet paratroopers, the Air Assault Forces (VDV). Chambered in 5.45x39mm.
The one with the short muzzle brake is an AK-47 (or AKM) chambered in 7.62x39mm.
The one with the short muzzle brake and skeleton stock is the AKS-47 (or AKMS). Same caliber as the AK-47.
Visually identical? Only to the amateur.
In addition, the C-7 and M-16A2 are much more similar to each other than the AK-47 and AK-74 will ever be. Only someone ignorant of Kalashnikovs mistakes a 74 for a 47.

Lets further pay attention to the fact that you can spot the general make of a weapon at a distance, a distance FURTHER then realistic pistol range.

And apparantly doing your day-to-day business in Maryland could mean your death...so why not take actions to prevent it?

(sigh) I really do need to get my conceal carry permit. Got a nice Glock-22 .40 S&W that just sits in the gun locker. I also am slightly out of practice. I could make a body shot at 50 feet, but I used to be able to bullsize all ten shots at 50 feet, and thats a head shot.MKSheppard wrote:MIGHT DIE? Oh my GOD!
