That reminds me of an incident about 2-3 years back....
County Sheriff is chasing a car that blasted through two redlights, going 70-80mph. The driver thinks to get away by turning down a one-lane twisty road that used to be the only way to get from one side of the river to the other. The Sheriff follows, but loses sight of the car. When he reaches the river and the closed bridge, the car is no where in sight. Turning around, the sheriff goes back up the road, watching the sides carefully. It takes two trips up and down before he spots where the car left the road and went over the 100ft drop.
Driver and Passenger ejected, both with blood alcohol levels over .1, and neither made it through the night.

Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

Sorry things like this make me feel really cynical.
It's a tragic case, but teens are by and large insane by nature, all of these horomones, and all.
on the otherside two years ago I was in the emergency room when they brought in a group of sisters, the 17 year old had done nothing wrong, yeah she was driving her mom's SUV, and going slightly over the speedlimit for the steepwinding grade. didn't matter to the folks in the RV who were going more then 30mph over the speed limit who rearended and sideswiped them, sending them off into the valley below.
The roll over crippled her 10 year old sister.

The scariest folk song lyrics are "My Boy Grew up to be just like me" from cats in the cradle by Harry Chapin
Yeah that definetly qualifies for the red forman award....im still afraid to drive, and ive had my learners for almost two years, and im due to get my license this summer....
Oh well...at least im not stupid enough to try something like that...and the absence of skid marks makes me wonder if he just decided to floor it instead of braking?
