I'm not sure whether to envy the fact that you have dreams, or cherish the fact that I don't...

With who? Anyways, I have enough metaphysics in my life at this point to make up PLENTY for not having dreams...

Re: What's the weirdest dream you've ever had?
I've had dreams where I was perfectly aware I was dreaming. Two examples, both of 'em involve flying. One, I was about 600 feet off the ground when my mind chooses to inform me that humans flying unaided is physically impossible. Then, I promptly told my brain to "shut the hell up . . . we're six-hundred feet off the ground here!"Raoul Duke, Jr. wrote:What's the scariest or funniest dream you've ever had, yet made no sense upon waking analysis?
Here's one: When I was a little kid (about 4 or 5 years old) I used to have recurring dreams of sitting in a round white room with a bunch of other kids while a doctor passed out replacement feet in Zip-Loc bags. I'd unscrew my feet (which had holes of various sizes worn all the way through them) and snap on the new feet. Bizarre, huh?
Another one, I knew I was dreaming, and for some reason I had to get out to my car from a pond at my school. So, I merely ordered the laws of physics changed to enable me to fly. And voila, fly I could. lol

I think i posted this somewhere else. I was a protochimp, half human half chimp, and Dr. Zeuss from Planet of the Apes told me to run cuz they were after me, so I'm doin my Spiderman/Batman Beyond leaps and acrobats through a huge abondoned city while 30 foot gorillas are trashing the town and knocking down building trying to find me. I was pretty freaked out.

The weirdest recent one?
I run into Naomi Watts (the hottie star of Mullholland Drive and the Ring) and she asks if I want to go to Australia for a week with her. And the way she says it makes it very obvious what we'll be doing down there most of the time.
My response? "I can't; I have play rehearasl."

I often have a recurring... can't say dream, or theme, more like a recurring gimmick. In almost all of my dreams, I end up doing one or more of the following:
-I decide that it's a waste of time and energy to walk (specially up and down stairs using my feet) so I start hovering something like 10 or 20 cm from the floor. And I hover up and down a lot of stairs, and people look at me like I'm some idiot (I always remember this because when I wake up and try it, it doesn't quite work... ouch)
-I take my car and begin to drive along this long cliff-road that's next to the sea (in my home city), only that it's extremely twisted and weird, for instance sometimes ramps are 99º vertical, and I start gaining lots of speed, and it's a maze. I usually do a lot of stunts like it's the way the road is designed (jumps and stuffs) but I end up launching towards the sea and drowning. Except that I never drown, I breathe underwater and end up walking to the shore again.
-When I'm waiting for something to happen (like the Big Cheese is going to give me a mission, or they tell me that the world will end in 5 minutes) I decide that I want to practice somersaults and front flips. But I never get them right and often land on my head. Either that or I manage to land but it's VERY awkward. And even a couple of times I ended missing the ground altogether and staid floating in mid-air, spinning uncontrollably.

1: I'm 3 or 4, and watching a cartoon projected onto my bedroom wall. A shopkeeper and customer are arguing, and the shopkeeper starts throwing food at the customer until he disappears under a huge pile of it. Think in terms of the style of an early Sesame Street skit.
2: Recurring throughout my childhood are dreams about being watched and followed by hairless, lily-white men with huge ears and dark suits. LONG before the movie Dark City, but the parrallels are eerie, especially since the creatures appeared just at the moment when I knew I was dreaming, and wanted to get out.
3: I'm in university, and dozen of medical students are operating on women's vaginas out on the lawn. Then I'm in a lecture theatre being chased by a T-Rex. It grabs my asignment and gives me an F. Then I'm outside where mafia gangsters are flying on a levitating platform shooting at students. I'm suddenly in a building with them. They merge into one body. I fight him and throw him down an elevator shaft.
4: I'm in a living room. A whirlwind lifts up a photo album, flicking through photos that come to life like mini-movies while "I Am the Walrus" plays in the background. Then I float outside into a cornfield. In a clearing, people are crowding around watching a fight between a giant lobster man and a man made of horse manure with 3 parrot-like beaks. Then I'm suddenly in a hospital with hundreds of bedded patients along an endless halway. A raw sausage appears in my hand. I throw the sausage at an unconscious female patient. The sausage sucks her into itself like a black hole, then spits her out as a giant lizard, which crawls off the bed and away. I suddenly realize that I'm carrying dozens of these magic sausages in a backpack. Something must have malfunctioned, because I'm suddenly sucked into one of the sausages I'm carrying. I emerge as a lizard, seeing everything in infra-red like the Predator.
5: I'm in an opulent palace meeting Count Dracula, with crowds of servants, bejeweled Indian elephants and rivers of fluorescent blood. Nothing significant happens.
6: I'm playing baseball with the entire cat of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The real weird thing is I don't even like baseball.
7: I'm in an Aztec city, having a duel to the death with Ozzie Ostrich (an ostrich muppet character from an Australian variety show). I spear Ozzie through the neck and blood gushes out. The Aztecs cheer, and I apparently win a prize I don't recall seeing.
8: There's the office woman who utters my present sig.
What sort of therapy do you reccommend?

Had some weird ones when I was young about me driving and the brakes in the car would hardly work no mattter how hard I pushed. Although I never had an accident in the dream I would always get scared and frustrated at why I either wasn't doing it right or why the breaks weren't working.
Also had ones throughout the years were I am in similar yet distorted versions of my schools and weird things happen while im their. Cant recall any specifics.
Almost every dream I have that involves me being in water or coming into contact with water I never get wet. Although I can still "feel" the water its as though my body and clothes don't get wet from it. Also, when im under the water I can always end up breathing somehow.
I have also had what people call "lucid dreams" where I realize I am dreaming and start to have a sort of quasi control over what I do and what happens in the dream.
One of the most strange and vivid dreams I can still remember fully though is one when I was about 13 or 14. We are at on our cottage lake and we are being chased in our boat by some guys in another boat. Their is an awkward looking gun mounted on the back of our boat which looks sorta like an MG42. I kneel down close behind it, and pull out a large and extremely pointy shaped bullet which is about 15cm long 2cm in diameter out of my right pocket and proceed to load it into the opening on the gun (which I accessed by lifting the grip up sideways and pulling back.) I then lay down forward and start aiming the gun at the boat which is chasing us all the while feeling so confident at how im going to blow them to hell. However the instant before I pull the trigger my mom comes up and interupts me and starts nattering on about how I can't do it and am not allowed to do that and blah blah blah. The dream then fades out and I wake up.
Their are many more dreams which I still recall but many of them have become too fragmented into pieces to the point where they cannot properly be described.

the ones in which you´re running away from something but can only move really slowly even though your´re trying to go at full speed are evil.
but i havent had a bad dream for ages.
i´ve had a couple of dreams which actually are supposed to be evil like being in war or getting chased by some zombie monsters, but i remember finding them cool.

Wierdest dreams. Hmmm.
I've dreamed about flying (in the personal levitation sense--no aircraft involved), piloting a Trek runabout around the outside of the house where I live (nevermind that a runabout is way too big to fly down the driveway ). The wieredist, however, is probably the one-shot dream I had that unfolded in narrative and was from the perspective of one of the characters in my novel manuscripts in progress. I gather that deaming about ones' characters is fairly normal for writers, however....

It's not my place in life to make people happy. Don't talk to me unless you're prepared to watch me slaughter cows you hold sacred. Don't talk to me unless you're prepared to have your basic assumptions challenged. If you want bunnies in light, talk to someone else.
Hehe Ive always hated those. When I think about it now, it feels like it was about the same amount of resistance you get if you try to run when you're in deep water.the ones in which you´re running away from something but can only move really slowly even though your´re trying to go at full speed are evil.

I was leading an army of rebels against an unknown evil ruler. But, when the armies met, they disappeared, and I appeared in a long hallway with lots of doors. In each door my soldiers were doing battle with some forms of demons, and multi-colored objects. And further down the hall I heard my name called. The voice sounded familiar, yet I couldn't recall who it belonged to. When I reached the end of the hall, a huge barred door blocked my way to the voice. But all
I did was reach my hand up, and the door blasted inward. Inside, the most beautiful visage I'd ever laid my eyes on stood before me, but her face was obscured. She approached me, and the room luminesced. But before the light cast away the shadow around her face, I woke up. I had a fever for 3 days after. It was...Odd.
As a recurring dream:
I travel...Just...To places. It started out mundane, with me seeing just different places in the world, but now they're becoming more and more fantastic, taking place in different times, on different planets. Somehow, I always see some of my friends there.

Weirdest one this weekend:
I'm on the Oriental Express, only it's running through an asteroid field instead of on railroad tracks. I'm sitting in a really luxurious car with a lot of upper-crusty types, and there's this guy in the middle of the room swinging a ball at the end of a chain at like 3000mph. When I tell him that's boring, he makes the ball hover in midair and swings himself around at the end of the chain just as fast.
