I'd call it the "two thousands", and the next decade the "tens", or "two thousand and tens". All of the other names sound wierd to me.

I think it was decided by consensus that the naughties was the most scintillating and double-entendrish while simultaneously not offensive enough to be used by everyone.

Teens sound too much like teenagers. I prefer calling it the two thousand tens.
