Our family was protestant, we used to go to a "United Church". Thinking back now, it wasnt too bad in the sense they didnt really come off as fundies like other churches and they didnt IIRC ever push stuff like creationism.
I was baptized when I was just an infant, and our family would go semi-regularily up till I was about 13/14, however, I never actually went for my true "confirmation" or confession of faith or whatever its called to become an official member.

Not only that it's Ian Paisley's church, he founded it becasue he felt other sects of protestantism didn't hate catholics enough.Ma Deuce wrote:Protestant...Free Presbyterian (an ultraconservative Fundie denomination that originated in Northern Ireland). It was not the policies of the church that eventually convinced me to abandon religion, however: it was the Bible itself.
For my part i used to be a Baptist but left the church when my dad gave me the choice of either going to church or staying home to watch the football. Gee let me think on that one.
