Congrats!

Anyway, as for me, I have 18 merit badges(earned after much haranguing from my mother), but mostly I don't really care much about the actual merit badge stuff as I liked the camping and practical knowledge. Thus, I am probably the most experienced camper in my troop, but guys 3-4 years younger than me are having their court of honors.

I tried to be in Cub scouts, but my parents were always too busy to take me to anything, so I had to give it up. I think I went a total of 3 times.

I kind of regret it. And I really want to go camping after I graduate.

Congratulations though.

Congratulations! Since my dad never wanted me to join the Boy Scouts (for some reason he inherited a dislike of Christian organizations from his dad, something about being kicked out in some Inquisition or something), so I went for my black belt...

I made Eagle Scout at 15...in all honesty, it's probably what got me into College.

Ok, instead of being anand making a hundred posts I'm gonna respond to all in one, because I'm sweet like that.
Now be honest, how much longer until your 18th birthday? I filed my paperwork 10 days early. My troop had one of the highest eagle rates in the country, but we didn't manufacture. We just had a bunch of hard-working kids and got maybe 3 or 4 a year. I had a double Court of Honor with my twin brother.
Today was my 18th birthday, though I had all my stuff in last week so technically I still had a week but I didn't officially get my eagle till about 3 hours before I turned 18. My troop also has a high precentage of Eagles, we get at least 3 a year, and one year had a Court of Honor for 4 people.

So how many knots can you tie?
Enough, the basic ones with my eyes closed, some of the harder ones take me a few tries to remember.
It's official, now you won't be able to join GALE force.
Damn, oh well. I think that most placing hiring look more kindly on a Eagle Scout than a member of GALE... but I could be wrong. :D
I'm just about to start work on my eagle. Lots and lots of fun. Still it'll be worth it.

My troop was pretty awesome until about last year when it went to hell, most of the kids there really piss me off there. But by that time I was way to close to just give up.

If it weren't for that Family Life and Communications merit badges, I too could've done it.

Oh well, Life Scout for me. I made OA Brotherhood, so I was happy then. But I wasn't too worried about Eagle; when some of the assholes in my Troop got it ahead of me, and the best SPL I ever had never got his, I decided, "Screw it."

Hey congrats dude, I'm just about 1 month away from getting mine...just have to wrap up my project, do some small things for personal management and finish up fittnes (groans)
