Those things don't even work that well...You take a huge ball of flame from
a rifle at night and turn it into a moderately sized ball of flame.....

they work by redirecting the muzzle blast sideways so that instead of a giant
ball of flame pointing back at the shooter, you have a ball of flame around you...

it's hell on ears though...

Heard it's a Bushmaster .223 rifle, which means it's an AR-15 clone...

Something that did make me laugh were the markings on the magazine:

This stupidity as a result of the 1994 Federal ban on "assault weapons" in the US. Machinegun manufacture was banned in 1986 (for sale to civilians), but because the bans are two different laws, the fully-automatic guns don't have to have any special markings, whereas the semi-auto guns and all new magazines have to have the markings in the picture. Doesn't make sense but gun laws rarely do.

No, he wasn't a sniper. But from the ranges he was firing at, I suppose anyone with military training could have done it.

Under 100 yards.....a child could do that...I've scored bullseyes
at 100 yds with no prior training on an AR-15 and without a scope...

There is something to be said for public executions (hood, last words, noose around neck, floor beneath vanishing, etc.). Gives those on death row lots to think about before ascending that stairway to death amid jeering crowds of non-wellwishers...

I've got a cousin living in DC FYI, and I've been driving myself nuts worrying about him. This SOB sniper deserves everything we throw at him.
