This is mildly amusing on at least two different levels :)
If you are cray enough to use google groups go here
link

But get a news reader or use OE if you dare :)

Usenet consists of newsgroups not websites. To access one decently you need a newsreader. If you simply want to look at one though, and possibul make posts which will take the better part of a day to appear then you can use Google groups.

I'm the former LordShaithis, author of such lovely fiction as "Imperial Cheeseburger" and "Paul Jacques Eats Donkey Shit."

I've been there years, but mainly I was lurking since newsreaders were a bitch back then when I seemingly changed ISP every week for a better deal.

But I'd love to be able to keep track on there at uni, though the newsreader service is shite here.

Hell yes!

If ASVS is dead (rest it's soul) then it must RISE OUT OF THE ASHES!

We can form a NEW ASVS.

ASVS isn't dead. It's just... slow. It's weathered the last troll attack.

Actually, a 'new ASVS' was the idea behind a moderated Yahoo group - ASVS_Moderated. When the trolls were rampaging, a lot was going on there. When most of the trolls left, ASVS_Moderated dried up.

Relatively speaking, but the floods haven't bad as bad lately, and last time I looked, it seemed that there's still a fair amount of STGODing going on as well. There's still some life left.

Bah, when it comes to matters of ASVS, this Great Old One outrank you, Great Leader :P

At any rate, the group is more or less dead now. Most of us went over here, or just left. What few remained really didn't do all that much and it was eventually hit with multiple floods.
*Sigh* And so we shall be forever haunted by the memory of the orgins of our kind as western europe was haunted by the memory of Rome.
Of course our Rome wouldn't have fallen were it not for all of the eagerness to kiss Mike Wong's ass ;)

Still, we could use a private forum to discuss out infinite superiority without interuption from anime tentacle-rape fanfiction.

I'm still working on getting the participants to fight each other rather then rehash how awesome their empires are over and over again. The battle lines were just about drawn when RayCav took off.
