Kiprusoff's not a traitor. We traded him away, and I don't regret it. Of course, in hind sight, it'd have been nice to get something better than a 2nd round pick for him, but we didn't need him. Nabokov is better than him (remember that he was playing while needing knee surgery during the playoffs), and Toskala's good enough to start on most teams. We had three good goalies, why not give one up?
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Kipper FORCED us to make the trade, receiving only a second round pick for him. That's the whole point.Robert Treder wrote:Kiprusoff's not a traitor. We traded him away, and I don't regret it. Ditto.Howedar wrote:Total bullshit. Calgary should have won Game 6 3-2 on that goal-that-supposedly-wasn't.

It was a good game though.
But what really annoys me is that in Period 1 of Game 7, we did the same thing Tampa did in Game 6, tripping a guy. The ref called us, but not them before! Smal things like this happened a lot in the series.

Yes, one of the 10 times we've won the Cup, and if it weren't for Pat Quinn's utter incompetance as coach and GM, we'd have won it a couple more times. Other than the NY Rangers, no hockey team has underperformed as consistantly as the Leafs have under Pat Quinn's "guidance". He has repeatedly traded away key players and soured relations with the team, he hold grudges and vendettas against the players. The guy is a fucking ass. Ok, I feel better now, that probably belongs in the venting thread.Robert Treder wrote:And about this "on loan" bullshit, remind me, when was the last time Toronto won the Cup? Oh, that's right, it was 1967. That was only seventeen years before I was born.
