Well, you're a band person, true blue, I know this now....
No I'm not. I'm a choral and piano person. What instruments I play shouldn't reflect on my personality. That's a bunch of garbage, IMO.

Dude, I taught my pit kids this part for their marching show last year (Holsinger's 'Abrams' Pursuit') that had measures of constant eighth-note runs against eighth-note triplet runs, and my kids did them PERFECTLY!! It went on for 32 measures (it was just a nifty was to do the harmony for that section), and they were always RIGHT ON. They must have done it SO WELL that the moronic TOB judges (that was our competitive marching band circuit, Tournament of Bands)--the stupid judges missed it every goddamn time!! They never noticed it! It was so hard and they did it so well that the judges thought it was easy!! Argh. Bastardos.

It seems I forgot to mention the timne changes and key changes every two or three measures for about 16 measures or so......twice...

I know, I've played it before. Hence the applause, darlin'.

Take up percussion one day. Some percussion ensemble pieces use the craziest time sigs--this one piece I played had 11/8, 15/8, 15/16, and 37/32 time. It just tossed them all around for a few hundred bars to see how well you could keep your head on straight.

Most college bands play that march when their defense makes what they consider to be a devastating play.
