What pointing device do you use?

Well, now you know, if you did care.

And I really don't think anyone cares about the sort of mouse I use...unless we're not actually talking about mice here, if ya know what I mean...

A 5 button, 2 wheel a4tech optical mouse (got a few of them). Plus a 5 button, 1 wheel usb(has a ps/2 adapter) microsoft optical mouse. Got a 3 buttom, 2 wheel mechanical a4tech mouse as well. Used to use that on my laptop.
The 5 button 2 wheel mouse, I use on my desktop. I use the usb mouse with my laptop because it doesnt work with ps/2 optical mice. Plug an optical mouse it, and it only stays powered for a few seconds since you last moved it, the cursor starts jumping around the screen randomly.

Re: What pointing device do you use?
For years, I used an old two-button serial mechanical mouse. Then, I went to a two-button PS/2 mouse with a scroll wheel (That's one of the most useful things anybody's ever put on a mouse. Lemme tell ya!) Still mechanical. Mechanical mice have been good for me, except that they tend to require obscene amounts of cleaning. Now I'm thinking of getting an optical mouse. The ones at school seem to work pretty well.phongn wrote:So, what do you all use? Mechanical mouse? Optical Mouse? Tablet? Trackball?
On the road, I prefer using the eraser-thingy in the middle of the keyboard on my laptop. I absolutely hate touchpads! Gimme the eraser-point anytime.
