Yes, Turkey should be admitted into the European Union TODAY. The reason I think that is should be admitted today, as more time passes, the more fundementalist Muslims gains control of the government. This trend would probably be cut short if Turkey joined the European Union.

- A few months ago, EU announces Cyprus as one of the ten candidates states for EU entry in 2004, Turkey threatens to annex the occupied part of the island.
- Secratary General Kofi Annan, presents both sides a proposal for unification, based on the Swiss federal system.
