Looks like the Sheppard Grande is the one we're going to so far. I haven't been in that area since they opened up the new subway line so I'm not sure how the parking situation is. They use to have some free parking on the side streets about a block or so from the theatre, but I'm not sure if it's still there. No showtimes are listed yet for Friday, at least not on the website, but it's playing today at the following times:

12:30 | 1:00 | 1:30 | 2:00 | 4:30 | 5:00 | 5:30) 6:30 | 8:30 | 9:00 | 9:20 | 10:00

I don't expect it to change much tomorrow.

OK, I say we go for the 8:30pm show, targeting to show up at 8:00am.

Are we going to have a rally point somewhere and then carpool, or are we going to all just show up there? Can somebody scout the location out and identify a good rally point there if necessary? It may be difficult to just wander around the area hoping to run into each other, never having gone there before.

As always, I'll be wearing my University of Waterloo jacket. Aerius, Ted, and I should be able to recognize each other on sight, but Mark S will have to tell us what he'll be wearing or something.

If we're going to the theatre on Young street I should be able to find it (that's about the only street I've driven down in Toronto). My wife, Natalie, is coming and we'll be leaving as soon as I pick her up after work so we can make sure we don't get bogged down in traffic. Unfortunately my clothes are pretty nondescript but she has a woven Santa pin on her black leather jacket. I'll be wearing a leather jacket as well. Hopefully I'll be able to recognize your group.

Will meeting at 8 be enough time to get good seats on a Friday night?

This is just me, but when I bought tickets today for a Saturday noon showing I was told to get there an hour early. I'm in California by the way.

When Ewo and I went, we arrived exactly half an hour ahead of time and practically every seat in the theatre was taken already. So...you might want to think about getting there a bit earlier.

Then again, we went to the first-available psycho-showing at midnight in the middle of the week, so that might have some bearing on it too.

The Sheppard Grande is in a mall, we could always meet there, in the foyer.

There's the TTC parking area, if you got a metropass. There's quite a few parking lots, but they could be expensive.

I doubt that there's any free parking around there.

Shall we meet there at 8:00, or 7:45, to give us more time for seats?

I think 7:45 will be the better meeting time IF they keep the show schedule the same. I'll be checking the theatre listings in the morning and will update things from there.

They've got friday's listings up and they're the same as today's.

8:30 is on, meet at 7:45pm.

I was told to be there before 7:30 because it's a friday night, very full.

The bank only gives my $20 bills, but I'm sure with some juggling around we can get the change sorted out. Now if you don't mind being payed with nickels, dimes & quarters I'm sure I have $13.50 in change lying around at home.

I can always pay change in pennies, I've got about $17.50 in pennies, weighs about 20lbs.
