My never-to-be-humble opinion is that soccer (or football, or futbol, like it is called in hispanic countries) appeals only to the lowest common denominator of society. If you don't believe me, look at the hooligans in Europe, and then tell me otherwise. Same is true, to a lesser degree, of all other expectator sports, regardless of country.

I'm not sure if America has a soccer team, and, if they do, they probably were beaten, but I really don't care because BASKETBALL IS THE ONLY SPORT THAT MATTERS!

Well we need to start learning to play that one like a team again instead of a bunch of showboating individuals (NBA style) or we're going to start losing a whole lot more than we did last year.
