Well, I just came here to call Hemlock on his whiny insistance and crying about anime (never far from expressing his paranoia that there are no real american cartoons anymore), and making antagonists out of people who don't like hearing dumb shit (how pathetic of a board enemy is that? Somwone who treats you like an idiot for acting like one? get a real fucking archnemesis if your teeny life is that angsty and booring). So anyone else can carry on without me unless someone says they saw EoE and still don't know who Rei is.

Oh, yes, and, further, I like anime, and would watch much more of it if I had anything resembling money.

You said 'virtually all'. Perhaps your memory is failing, old man.

And since when does "virtually all" mean "real"? Your brain doesn't count, so stop trying to twist my words.
RA: Ah, I see... It all ties into that one product of theirs. Still, the hentai manga might be a doujinshi, but I'll accept any proof you can offer.

Let's not bring this up again, VF5SS.
I know you're being funny, but I don't care for it.
And it's not "cartoons", it's "animation".

Spanky's kinda right on this one; Once again, the problem is who it's mainly used by, and why they use it. If you want to argue semantics, it's not technically Japan, it's Nihon, but nobody fucking calls it that in the English language, unless they're an Eight-Fingered Smartass. Communication has a purpose, and it's not making up pun-names for Shits 'N' Giggles.

Oh no no no! If you remember my talk with Spanky over the name when he said, "Japanimation is racist!" Well so is Japan! Jap...Japan! In order to translate is correctly it must be refered to by a name that is more apt than just "animation". Instead we should use a variation of "japanimation" and call it "Land of the Rising Sun-imation!" Now that's a name you can be proud of!Darth Utsanomiko wrote: Spanky's kinda right on this one; Once again, the problem is who it's mainly used by, and why they use it.
